Of Tuffy,I did a BAD thing yesterday. I got into a one sided argument with our local Humane society. Our humnane society isn't very good, I have heard that is it a "no kill" but that they will let the dogs starve to death. They lady that works out there has no personality and she gets quite a few complaints. Anyway they were having an Adopt-A-Thon. since we already have 3 rescued dogs we couldn't take anymore. Thinking I was being nice and helpful, I wrote them a check for 100.00. They did not say "Thank you" just turned and walked off. Actually they didn't even look at the check or look at the amount, just walked off. When DH & I got outside he said he didn't hear her say thank-you and I said ,she didn't. The point was even if the check had been for 5.00 they should have at least said thank you. A little ways down the road and I was fuming.  I grabbed the cell phone and called them. I told the woman that when someone hands them a check tht they should have the manners to acknowledge it and say "Thank you" She didn't say anything. The more she DIDN'T say the madder I got. If she had even said "Oh I'm sorry that happened", but she never said a word. I asked if they were that impoilte to everyone that donates to them. I finally got so mad that I told them I would NEVER donate to them again, if I felt the need to donate to a Humane Society I would donate to the one in the next town. She still didn't reply. This had been going on for several minutes. I finally called her by name and asked if she was still on the phone and her reply was "Yeah you're right, we'll mail you a thank you card". I don't want them to mail be a card, keep that money for the paper and stamp and give some dog an extra treat. All I wanted was to be told "Thank you" They say confession is good for the soul, so I have confess to my twin sister. ...Tuffy here. Its a fresh new week, and I am ready to POUNCE on that lady! I'm loading up my boxing gloves and gear right now and am prepared for a 'road trip'!!
<Do I hear coins klinking in the jar for a 'gas $$' fund?> I'll even bring my 'grass dethatching' shoes with spikes on the bottom and I'll WALK ALL OVER HER unkind Butt!! Grrr. Now I just need their address & phone #, & I'll put HER in one of those dog cages, give her about 2 sips of HOT water, along with some dirt & a dash of used kitty litter mixed in her water bowl, feed her that cheap crappy smelling dog food you get for $4 for a 100lb bag! And then.....come on lady..you WILL be begging me for 'kindness'!
