MDJunction to me

"In the 3 months I have been with MDJunction I have developed a sense of calmness. I now friends who do not judge me because I have been a mental mess at times. It is such a good feeling to have friends I can tell my deepest thoughts and always get back to me with their support. I have never seen a therapist for long periods of time. Right or wrong, this is the best therapy possible for me. Thanks Roy for getting this up and running and making such a difference in my life. Sara" (saralaurie)

I was feeling so lousy for most of the winter months, but for the past month or so I am feeling pretty good. knock on wood!! Just wondered if anyone on here hits cycles like this. I am still wondering if I truely have FMS. Seems like I should have continual symptoms.. Maybe someone on here can shed some light on this for me. I go back to see the rhuematologist next month.. Thanks ahead of time for any feed-back.

Hey sugar49,

I do have cycles where I am better and then sometimes I worsen again. Even though the last few years I have been better, I have never been completely pain free since struggling with this. I just have days where the pain is tolerable and I can ignore most of it. Winter months are hard on me too. I don't do well when it gets so cold. I would just like to hibernate till it's over!! Glad to hear you are feeling good right now!! Yes maybe your rhuemy can give you more info. Have they done the tender point testing and other tests, including bloodwork, to rule out other things?? Just wondering.

Take care!

Red

Sometimes it is the weather...the pressure I think has an issue with arthritis so I think it does have something to do with Fibro...I am very painful when the low pressure is here...there are foods with artificial sweetners will cause migranes with people with fibro....also we have issues with carbs and low blood sugar so stay away from processed foods and foods with high frutose corn syrup because it messes with cravings for carbs and it messes with your blood sugar.... hope this helps....it does for me...

I did have the tender point tests done, also had a load of bloodwork done to rule out anything else. I hadn't been feeling well for a while so I had lots of testing done for all kinds of things before I saw the rhuematologist and he did testing also, I was very symptomatic when I went to see him, I thought I was going to go through the roof when he started pressing on certain areas of my body...
