MDJunction to me

"All I can say is that this has been the best place ever. It has been six to seven months since I joined, and I have learned so much. I now believe in myself and accept myself on a completely different level. The people on MDJunction has been so supportive and accepting that I have been able to adopt it into my personal life. That has reduced a lot of stress in my life. Thanks to all." (bunnyfly)

Some one once told me that we re live our lives over and over untill we get them right. I have been thinking about this alot lately and boy I hope thats not true because I never want to do this again.

Its bad enough that I am starting to feel like I am being punnished but could you imaging having to relive this over and over and over??

NO THANKS!!

Sorry, this has just been laying really heavy in my head the past few days and I was wondering what others thought about it.

Thanks for being there

Hi foxy,

Are you talking about reincarnation? I don't believe we repeat our lives until we get everything right.

I do think we need to learn and grow from all our experiences good or bad.

However that begin said I have not yet figured out what I am suppose to learn from my medical problems, except maybe slow down since my body just will not do the things I want to do

I know normals want you to "have a postive attitude" I just say would you have "a postive attitude" if you were been hit by a truck everyday of your life? cause that is what it feels like living in my body.

I tried the postive attitude saying and thinking "it would get better" "it could be worse for" "I am fine" I did this for 15yrs and ya know what I am tried of lying to myself and everyone around me

the truth is I am not fine..........my life is hell each and every minute

I think I have learned alot about myself since I have had to change all aspects of my life because of being sick and in chronic pain . I have learned that you should never take your health for granted because it can and maybe will get worse. i have learned to be patient not only with myself but others. I have also learned that it's okay to not do stuff that will cause me pain. I have found who my true friends are and the family members who love me no matter what. I still have days where i wish I could just go to sleep and never wake up,but then I see my youngest daughter turn 16 and get her permit and see how excited she is and eager for me to teach her to drive and I am so glad to be here to share that with her. I don't mean to preach, and it irks me when someone tells me to stay positive when they have never experienced one really bad thing in their life. I guess what I am trying to say,is when you are at your worse remember you have people who love you and need you no matter what you are able to do or not do.......And life really can be good, just in a very different way

Very well said, KYchick! I don't think it does any good to sugar coat our feelings about living with chronic pain and all of the other health issues that come with fibro, or act like Polyanna around everyone close to us when we are having bad days, but you are right about trying to see the glass as half full wherever possible and coming to realize that life can be good, just in a different way.

I think that for most of us, this site has become a lifeline where we can rant, vent, rage, complain, bitch, pray, care and comfort each other because we all truly understand that living and suffering with this disease is no picnic, and is a strength-sapping daily struggle. We can let it all hang out here, be totally honest and not lie about how we are feeling with a big smile on our faces, as we sometimes do in public and around friends and family.

Once I get my fears and anger out, I can face the world again, not as Polyanna, but as someone who bears her burdens with strength, courage, and dignity, and realizes that the important people in my life still love and accept me just as I am. I still have a lot to give, and I will celebrate what I can still contribute and look for that rainbow through the storm clouds. It takes practice, discipline, and efffective drugs but I am trying to be a good role model and power of example for my two boys, ages 10 and 12. As a single mom, I am their world, and the lessons they learn from how I handle my problems are going to stick with them for the rest of their lives.

I don't beleive that we have to live the same life over and over again. Life is not about getting it right it is about learning from all obstacles and strengthening our spirit.

I say just be the best you that you can be and everything will be fine

Groundhog day was a great and comical movie, but thank goodness we don't have to renact it in our own lives! I think the lesson of that movie is that we can and do learn from our past mistakes, and apply these lessons to the rest of our lives...to grow, be the best that we can be, and to help others.

Ohhhhh....now I see what you mean I'm a little slow today aren't I .

Did someone say that to you in a negative way...like it's something you've done (or not done) that is causing your illness??? I'm just asking for clarification before I get totally ticked that someone could be so insensitive.

I'm very sorry that you've been having such a bad time. I hope you're able to get some extra rest today. Try to take it easy and take some time for yourself.

Sending you a huge hug
