MDJunction to me

"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

I have not been able to get here as often as I would like to. As some of you know I went back to my full time job last Friday.

Mondays are usually busy for everyone and today was no exception for me. I took 91 calls at work today. That is a lot of calls for any day. They wore me out and sucked my brain out too. I am drainbread. I had to take pain meds tonight for the first time in many weeks. I will not give up. I work with some truly wonderful people. My supervisor is never down or discouraged. i have good pay and great benefits. I want to make this work and feel bad that I'm already venting about how I am feeling. DH tells me at least once a day that he wants me to file for Social Security Disability. It's such a discouraging process. They always turn you down the first time. They've turned down sight impaired people who are legally blind, people suffering with cancer, etc. Once you're turned down you can use an attorney. From the first claim until you receive a decision on your second claim two years passes by. I can't really be working when I apply--that proves I can do it. I asked DH to give me some time to get geared up for it. He's such a good guy.

I miss you all!!! Take care and I will try to be here for chat one night this week. I have Aquatic Therapy tomorrow night and Wednesday. I'll try to be here Thursday.

Never let the monster win!!!

Try not to overdo it! It's hard working full time when you feel bad and hurt all over. I sure do have difficulty teaching when I'm flaring. I don't qualify for SS Disability because I'm a teacher. How stupid is that? Girl, if you are able to get SS DI---Go for it---you qualify. I sure would if I could. It's not a sign of weakness. You only have one body----think about SS DI. I'll pray for you. I apologize for being so blunt with my opinion. I've been working for 25 years and can't receive SS. I'm on my Soap Box!!! lol
