MDJunction to me

saralaurie"In the 3 months I have been with MDJunction I have developed a sense of calmness. I now friends who do not judge me because I have been a mental mess at times. It is such a good feeling to have friends I can tell my deepest thoughts and always get back to me with their support. I have never seen a therapist for long periods of time. Right or wrong, this is the best therapy possible for me. Thanks Roy for getting this up and running and making such a difference in my life. Sara" (saralaurie)

Hi, I to agree it's depession. I'm on meds. for it, but still get bad days. I have to little girls and some days it's hard because I don't want to do anything or talk to anyone. But they don't understand so I try my best and just hang in there. I hope things get better for you. I would talk to your dr. and get some help for the depression.

Thank you to everyone for your kind words and advice. I needed it. I did see my PCP today and we will be adding Lamictal, spelling is probably bad on that one, to my daily regimen. I am already on Cymbalta and Wellbutrin. I don't take anything on a regular basis for pain, as most of them have not worked for me. My body processes Lortabs of any strength like regular Tylenol. I don't get sleepy or pain control. Percocet worked for the first couple of doses and then became the same way. So, according to the doctor, this Lamictal will enhance my mood and decrease my pain as well by amplifying the Cymbalta. I think?! We discussed depression, and I know/knew I have been depressed--I kept "failing" those online tests for depression. I do not have the money for counseling right now, but I am hoping to next Spring. So, in the meantime, I will just do my best to feel better and stay employed. Thanks again for all the great support!!

Sherry, I'm sure your doctor knows what s/he is doing, but did they warn you about serotonin syndrome? Just in case I'm going to add the symptoms for your info:

Overview

Serotonin syndrome is a potentialyl life-threatening drug reaction that causes the body to have too much serotonin, a chemical produced by nerve cells.

Symptoms

Symptoms occur within minutes to hours, and may include:

•Agitation or restlessness

•Diarrhea

•Fast heart beat

•Hallucinations

•Increased body temperature

•Loss of coordination

•Nausea

•Overactive reflexes

•Rapid changes in blood pressure

•Vomiting

Just in case. If you feel those symptoms get yourself to the ER immediately, OK?

Blessings

You're so right Missa. What came first, the fibro or the stress? The stress or the fibro? Doesn't matter, one will make the other worse and vice versa.

I was working at a job I loved and had been there for 12 years. Because of the economy and some really bad decisions made by our former CEO, they started laying people off a couple of years ago. I figured my job was safe, nobody else really wanted it and I couldn't see how they could continue in business without me and the others in our department. But watching my colleagues being laid off month by month was really stressful. Finally they did get to my department and every month someone else got the boot. I was having nightmares about the head of HR coming up and tapping me on the shoulder....it was almost a relief when it finally happened. The stress of worrying about losing my job was killing me. Now I'm rested and thinking hard about what I want to do with the rest of my life....
