I told hubby and daughter they're pretty used to me doing dumb things. The man at the phone store I just said, you REALLY don't want to know.

Oh, I can identify with the brain fog.

Putting milk in the cabinet and cereal in the fridge.

This was my worst thing I did: I left the car running in the garage! My husband came home , I was busy cooking dinner and taking care of kids, and he so calmly asked "Is there any reason why you left the car running?" Now, let's face it, that's bad.

Oh yes, I couldn't remember if I took my medicine or not.

I used to have to think really hard to remember what month it is. HOnestly, even the year.

I used to have an overstocked pantry. I never could remember what I had at home when I was out shopping.

I've carried my phone in my bra, too. Until it flipped out into the pool, when I bent over. I did the same thing, whipped the blow dryer out and tried to save the phone. How funny that you have a nipple print!

I've done the same thing about the food, too. I knew my hard boiled eggs were done when the water boiled away and the eggs started exploding. I was watching tv, I forgot that I was cooking...(out of sight, out of mind)...I kept hearing strange noises in the kitchen, I finally got up to check and then I remembered. Now, I have hard-boiled egg stains on the ceiling.

Yes, it was an every day occurence.

Sometimes you have to laugh to keep from crying.

Open your mind to the possibilities available to you.

An attitude of gratitude is good 'medicine,' too.

The oven timer is your friend! I use mine a lot! If I've put something on the store, I will set the time for 5 or 10 min, whatever I think it will take for the pan to boil. Then when it goes off, I remember to check the stove!

I do the oven timer with lots of other things too. Anything that I need to remember, gets the timer...and a note if needed. It helps me a lot!

The oven timer trick is a GREAT tip...thank you!! I will start using that, along with my endless supply of lil' yellow sticky notes...stuck to my forehead!

I should have invented the sticky notes. I know I've used somewhere around 10 bazillion of them. And I still forget stuff.

But at home the oven timer helps a lot. Once I leave home....it's all a crap shoot.
