I was prescribed topomax & neurontin by 2 different docs. I'm a little concerned about starting 2 different meds at the same time, even though the pharmacist said it was ok. Both have simalar side effects. Has anyone else taken both before?

I take Topamax and Lyrica, which is similar to Neurontin, together with no problems. Did you tell either of your doctors that you were on the other med?

I did tell my rhummy, who wrote the more recent script, In fact I was so concerned, I drilled her on it, especially since I was supposed to take both at bedtime, along with my ambien. Well, turns out they flagged me at the pharmacy while picking them up. Their computer caught a potentially FATAL contraindication. This confirms what I knew all along. My (soon to be X) rhummy is a self-righteous moron who shouldnt be allowed to treat a lab rat. I am reporting her.
