Hi all....I know it's been a long time since I have posted here,but I wanted to let everyone know that after 2 long years,I finally got my disability approved.I have been turned down twice and was waiting a hearing by the judge. Turns out that our past govenor Ernie Fletcher had put a freeze on disabilities being approved(and I voted for the bum)the new governor wanted the backlog cleaned up. As a result,they sent a letter to my lawyer saying if my doctor would fill out another form and send that plus my current records then they may be able to decide my case without going to court.As a result,the decision was made favorable to me. I tell you this so that all of you just starting this journey can know that there is light at the end of the tunnel. For me it wasn't so much about the money,but the validation that I can't work as opposed to not wanting to work. There is such a huge difference between the two. I wish all of you just starting this journey the best of luck. My advice is to put it out of your mind as much as possible or it will drive you crazy!! |
