I was just wondering if anyone else with fibro has low ferritin levels or low iron. The reason I am asking is because my nuerologist says my ferritin level is low and reccommends me getting an iron infusion. Sis anyone else ever get this? I am going for a second opinion because I am scared to death of getting this procedure done and I don't want it to give me a flare up like all other testing has. Just curious if anyone else deals with this.

I give blood regularly and my iron has been low quite a few times where I couldn't donate. But they told me it wasn't dangerous for me or anything to worry about. Just a few points under what was needed to be able to donate blood.

I know if your iron is low this could be contributing to your fatigue. I also read that low iron can also cause muscle twitches and muscle aching. I don't know much about the treatment you are getting but if my iron were low I'd I want to try something and see if it helps with the other fibro symptoms at all!
