MDJunction to me

"In the 3 months I have been with MDJunction I have developed a sense of calmness. I now friends who do not judge me because I have been a mental mess at times. It is such a good feeling to have friends I can tell my deepest thoughts and always get back to me with their support. I have never seen a therapist for long periods of time. Right or wrong, this is the best therapy possible for me. Thanks Roy for getting this up and running and making such a difference in my life. Sara" (saralaurie)

I was just wondering if anywone has experienced problems eating any hot spices, or fibrous food like flaked tuna or dry chicken and wound up with a burned mouth and sore tongue. I am severely limited in what I can eat - it generally has to be bland and not rough like chips or a charbroiled hamburger or it messes my mouth up. If anyone out there has this problem, please let me know because it is driving me crazy in how limited my menu is. Thank you.

Also, thank you to all who welcomed me to the website. My computer has been acting up and I have been unable to answer your welcoming e-mails because somehow they all got deleted but two and I will answer them when my husband shows me how to answer them. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!!

Woah! I thought I was the only one! I have the SAME exact problem, even salad dressing and ketchup hurt, and especially chips and popcorn! I have been told by ENT doc that I have acid reflux as well though, and perhaps it could be related? Unsure though, I am interested to see how many more people have this! Welcome to the group! I haven't been on too much, just really under the weather lately, but welcome, you have found a great place for support, everyone here is amazing! Hope you are having a good day!!!

I recently noticed this as well with cinnamon for one thing and some others too. My mouth was irritated and burned and felt odd and also got small blisters in mouth.

I too have acid reflux but not sure if there is any connection.

I'm still having a time getting around on the board and giving individual replies. Thank you to all who replied to my question about tender mouth and sore tongue. I too have acid reflux, but a book I read on fibromyalgia says that that can come with fibromyalgia, along with bladder pain, which I also have and control with medication. Many, many thanks.

Yes, I have this problem at times. I'm glad to know someone else seems to have this too. I get little ulcers in my mouth. I especially notice this if I eat something spicy or tomato sauces or chips. They sometimes come up on the back of my tongue....and sometimes on the inside of my mouth. They are usually very small and go away, but will really drive me nuts if I feel them. I don't have acid reflux.

I get the pain in my mouth a lot. a couple of things that make my lips and tongue really hurt are salt and citrus. And a tip for the bladder pain. I have done lots of reading and trying things. The best thing I have found is blueberry's. I eat them fresh, frozen, baked in muffins. They have a natural em-zine that helps to protect the bladder.
