Does any one take this pain med? And if so what is your dose and usage? Mine is 500mg and am having to use 10 to 12 a day. I have this horriable fear of running out and having to ask Dr. for yet another RX. I can not take Motrin because of stomache ulcers. Is there a better pain med out there? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

500 is the mg of Tylenol in it. There should be a 5 or a 7.5 or even a 10 with a / then the 500...it is a mild pain releiver it is a step up from the Ultram etc...but it can be habit forming. I take percocet which is the Oxycodone that is a step above the hydrocodone google it and find out everything you need to know...good luck.

PS...always eat brfore taking this because it will give you nausea. Also causes constipation.

Be careful with hydro. It is very addictive. Typically for Fibro patients anything stronger than Darvacet doesn't work very well. Feel free to PM me and I'll explain it thourghly. Hope you get to feeling better.

Also be aware like BLB mentioned the 500mg is acetaminophen or tylenol. the recommendation is to not have more than 4000mg of acetaminophen in a 24 hour period or over time it can cause liver damage. you are already over that limit. If you use regular tylenol in addition for things like headaches and such you are putting yourself at a very high risk. Please talk to your doctor about the amount you are using he may need to give something else that will take care of your pain better without causing you trouble to your liver

Different things work for others so actually something stronger might help you.

I personally don't take anything for my pain, but that is not by choice. I know several people who take much higher pain meds and find releife from their Fibro symptoms.

Also you didn't say what dose your on. Maybe you just need your dose to be heightened. Like from a 5/500mg to a 7.5/500mg.

I take it occasionally for sciatica and neuralgia. It doesn't help as much now after all these years because I need something stronger but it's hard to get the doctors to give anything stronger. If you're taking that many it probably isn't working for you anymore because you've built up a tolerance to it. Try to get the doctor to switch you to something else. Hope you feel better soon.
