HELLO , MY NAME IS LILLIAN. I JOINED THIS GROUP ABOUT A MONTH AGO. I WAS AT THE END OF MY ROPE. THANK GOD I FOUND YOU ALL, THIS PLACE HAS REALLY BEEN A BLESSING. I REALLY THOUGHT I WOULD GO CRAZY FROM MY PAIN. AND I NEVER IN MY LIFE HAD FELT SO ALONE AND MISUNDERSTOOD. THIS PLACE HAS BEEN A GREAT OUTLET AND SOURCE OF SUPPORT.

I APPLIED FOR DISABILITY IN MARCH AND AM NOW SCHEDULED TO SEE THEIR DOCTORS FOR A MEDICAL AND PHYCOLOGICAL EVALUATION. I SUFFER FROM RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS, FRIBRO, MIGRAINS AND OF COURSE SEVERE DEPRESSION. I AM REALY STRESSED OUT ABOUT THE EVALUATION. I AM SO MEDICATED ITS HARD TO THINK SOMETIMES. I FEEL LIKE I LIVE MY LIFE IN A FOG. I GUESS MY DOC FEELS IN ORDER TO CONTROL THE PAIN I NEED TO BE A ZOMIE.

IF ANY OF YOU HAVE GONE THROUGH THESE EVALUATIONS I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IF YOU COULD SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH ME. WHAT ITS LIKE? WHAT QUESTIONS DO THEY ASK. WHAT DO THEY MAKE YOU DO? The disability docs ask you pretty much the same questions your regular doc would. I would recommend tho, if you have problems bending down don't do it. Just tell them you can't. They do not make the decision for SS. It's just thay they want more medical evidence. You will do just fine. Just tell them EVERY little ache and pain you have. I will put you on my prayer list.

I have never had a physical evaluation, But I did have a mental. And was asked who the president is? What's today's date? When's your birthday? And the dumbest of all questions was Why are you depressed? I had had every test under the sun. My RBC is high. My WBC is high

my BUN (whatever this is) is low. And my CEA level is high. But we don't know what's wrong? How did you get here? To the appointment.What's the highest grade completed? Who was the President after Carter? Who was the 16 President? What these question have to do with your emotional ability is beyond me. It not like the Presidents present and passed made me depressed.
