is it possible to be 15 (almost 16) and have fibromyalgia? I've been reading about it and seem to have all the symptoms.

For sure, it is not seen as often but it does happen. Broken record here. Make sure you see a doc first. Any One reason you think fibro?? Curious....

I talked to my regular doctor. He did a lot of tests and couldn't find anything wrong. So, he sent me to a psychologist thinking i have depression. I took medicine for it but it didn't work. I really don't think i'm depressed. I kind of want to have FM just so i can give it a name. My family is starting to doubt me when i say something hurts. I googled FM and all the symptoms the web site said, i have. I'm just not sure if they're severe enough to be considered FM. Is there such thing as light FM?

Some doctors tell people with Fibro that they are just depressed. My doctor told me this in the begining and I had to tell her NO I'm not depressed.

Fibrmyalgia is different for everyone. Some don't experience as much pain as others, just as some don't experience as much fatigue as others.

Nowwhat,

In my opinion the depression comes from the fibro. Not the other way around. I went to a psychologist because of my depression, but had already had fibro for 2 years. The depression I think comes from the life changes we make with the fibro. My psycologist thought so too. It was from no longer being the person that could get up at 330 am and work 8 hrs, then shop, clean house, fix dinner, ect. Then my youngest son left the nest. It was hard on me not being who I was. I had lost my identity because of all the limitations from the fibro. I am still trying to "find myself". For 32 years being a Mom was the most important thing in my life and being a single one, I was damn proud of myself for taking care of my family. But because of the fibro , I can no longer work. So much for my independence!
