Justannie and coffeebean, I know that we all know how you feel. We all have family and friends in our lives that just dont understand. they expect us to continue on like we were before the disease becuse there cant really be anything wrong they cant see it. Never mind that just about all of us vall and injure ourselves on a regular bases or that we dont have the strength to lift something as simple as gallon of milk. I am lucky in some ways because our 2 schiperkes ( small dogs) are seizure alert/medical alert animals and have saved my life literaly many times when i have fallen or been so sick i wanted to die. the girls areonly 13 nd 10 lbs. (mother and daughter)but have immense strength and are actually able to pull me up when i fall. i wish my family could be as understanding as everyone here but we all know that will probably never happen it makes me mad when they talk about how bad they hurt and could you cut something of etc. I tell them just be in anyone of our places for 1 hour and you will see what pain is. GOD Bless us because he is the only one who can help us thru this. bearsjewel

JustAnnie,

Please just hang in there. Fibro is a way of life and at some point we all have to come to terms with it. Can you get someone else to feed the dogs, so you don;t have to go out there? I am here anytime you need to talk and will keep you on my list of prayers.PM me anytime.

Tami

Thank you guys soo much. Without the support of this group I really dont know how Id make it at times. Im just having a bad week withthe pain and Im extremely stressed about going in the hospital all next week. Im more scared of my kids being without their mom then having electric shock to the brain.

You are so right about putting everything in God's hands. Without his Grace, we are nothing.

When the world says give up, hope whispers give it one more try... unknown

Hello to everyone!!!

I to get very depressed and feel angry. I think it's bound to be the 'nature of the beast' with this illness. How can you NOT have bad days or weeks with all the pain and misery along with a myriad of other things going on with us!

Sometimes I find my interest in things that I enjoyed doing as to much work and stressful.

I think it's best if we learn to accept we're now different people and not fight with ourselves both mentally and physically. It just makes things worse in the end! However, we're bound to have some depressed times and that to we have to struggle thru.

This forum can help so many to get thru some bad days or even hours.

I hope we all can have a decent weekend!! Take care and don't be to hard on yourselves, ok?

Hi all. I was just reading some of the posts. I started at the begining and then read the ones on the last page so I have missed some of them. But I did want to say that I am so glad to see that some doctors are finally starting to admit that this disease is progressive. All these years I thought I was just imagining that I was getting worse...not I know I'm not completely out of my mind!

I have also developed a lot of other problems as a result of the fibro. Some of them are pretty serious and I worry what might come next. So I guess the fibro itself isn't deadly, but some of the secondary things that come up can be. yuck!!!

Well, I 'm excited to be on here again and I cant wait to get to know all of you new friends. Things have gone downhill for me and I will work on getting on here more often, especially since I really need some love and support.

Remember that you are loved and that we are all in Gods hands, and he loves us! We just have to trust him.

Love, soopergirl

Welcome back Sooper!! Don't feel bad for being gone for a bit....I just went thru that in the last past months. It's been a tough winter this year!

I've never been told that Fibro was progressive. Of course I don't have the greatest doctors that fully understand the illness either. I always felt that as time goes by, we start experiencing certain symptoms that perhaps are aggravated by the Fibro. I know I'm dealing with other issues but never would have connected it to fibro. Just a question about that.....if they don't know why it really happens for sure, how can they know it's progressive?

I know that we get flare ups and such and as time goes on I feel more wore out. I just figured it might do to our system just can't take much anymore.

When I was first hit with fibro, I was hit hard and fast! I guess I'm just not sure what to think !

Take care and I hope we can keep coming back even if we go away for a bit!!

I am curious to know where it says that fibro is progressive. From everything that i have read it seems that the fibro is not progressive but the way our bodies react to stressors changes over time. I guess it's another way of describing the aging process. lol I am more keen of that now than ever before as I am about to hit the big "40". In all seriousness though, I think it is important to remember that we may have other health issues besides the fibro that complicates the flares. It may seem like it is the fibro's fault, but we have to be careful to lump issues under the fibro category so we don't miss something that could be more serious. I think that's why it's important to keep open communication with our dr about what symptoms we are experiencing and if they are new.

Hope everyone has a good day. I have to go wake up the puppy & taker herout now so she'll sleep tonight.
