I can stop them and my stress kicks in and i get upset. I don't know if this is fibro or something else. Its not all time but its getting more often and harder shaking. I NEED HELP. I get awful shaking in my hands and I was very scared too, in fact mine keeps getting progressively worse. Before you were diagnosed with fibro, did the doctor rule everything else out? I don't want to scare you cuz I know others that have the shaking and it is fibro but my doctor is thinking it's something else so I am being tested for MS. Everybody is different as are most doctors so don't go thinking the worse. Give your doctor's office a call and let him/her know what's happening. Could be from a med too????

I have that as well but it lasts for days. My neurologist gave me propanalol and it helps. It was so bad at one time that I could barely talk and it was really embarrassing at work. But like I said, it's much better. I also have spasms that are really frustrating at times but they are not all of the time either. Try talking to a neurologist and ask about propanalol, it might make all of the difference or not. I hope you find something that will help and make your life easier.Smile

I do have diabetes in the family but I have tested negative. However, I do have Hypoglycemia and when I don't eat it affects me even more. My shaking and spasms affect me even at night. Most of the time my handwriting is so awful, I've just had to get used to it.

sugar( low or high ) can be an issue and I agree parkasins and ms can cause this.but lets start with the basic first sugar.do you notice this happening before you eat or after ? I would mention this to your doc..it can be nerves as well..is it jitters or server shaking like if you were holding something and couldn't it just shaks out of your hand
we all have alot to give if one gets the help then some of this suffering is worth it..

remeber I am not a doctor I just say what I think

I am shaky all of the time, before and after I eat. I don't notice most of the time but my husband does. The spasms that go with it go from mild to severe. Twice I have had my whole body convulse into the fetal position and then relax again. It's weird but at least my speach is not affected any more.

I get this as well. It's hard to notice but somethimes the middle fin ger sways a little when I hold my hand up. Also, sometimes I will loose my grip. I notice this happens between the thumb and forefinger especially in the left hand. Sometimes the wrist hurts as well. Whenever I hold something I notice that whatever I am holding shakes a little. This happens with both hands, but slightly more in the left hand.
