MDJunction to me

"In the 3 months I have been with MDJunction I have developed a sense of calmness. I now friends who do not judge me because I have been a mental mess at times. It is such a good feeling to have friends I can tell my deepest thoughts and always get back to me with their support. I have never seen a therapist for long periods of time. Right or wrong, this is the best therapy possible for me. Thanks Roy for getting this up and running and making such a difference in my life. Sara" (saralaurie)

Heat helps my pain alot. I used to have a hot tub that I sat in prior to knowing I had fibro, and it would be so relaxing, but I could not stand the jets beating on me at all. I wonder if one could, and I have thought about finding out for myself too, get a prescription for a tub in their home. Whether it be hot tub or a regular tub for the bathroom. Anyone ever heard of doing that? It would do me a lot of good, a regular tub is not something I can sit in comfortably at all. I live in heating pads and electric blankets to get the heat I need to relieve some of the pain.

I DON'T KNOW..THAT WOULD BE NICE...MY TUB IS TOO SMALL...THE WATER ISN'T DEEP ENOUGH TO SUBMURGE MY WHOLE BODY IN AND I HAVE TO BEND MY KNEES TO LAY DOWN AND GET MY SHOULDERS AND THAT'S NOT COMFY. BUT AS FAR AS INSURANCE COVERING SOMETHING LIKE THAT I DON'T KNOW.

Maybe it depends on the insurance????

I know someone who had an in-ground pool installed (this was many years ago) after having back surgery. The doctor wrote a prescription for it...saying it was going to be used for physical therapy...and the insurance company paid for a significant portion.

Worth checking about!!
