It's really helped me being here this morning and actually had my mood picked upp some today. Especially teasing Kazy and meeting all the newbies. I am going to get off here for now as I just got some very disturbing news . My landlord has grown impatient with me waiting for a hearing date for SSDI and is ready to start eviction. Scares the living daylights out of me. I have NEVER not paid my rent or been homeless before. All my family is in another state. Sorry for going on about my problems. I may check back in later after I calm down and get done with my crying fit. Hope you all have a good day filled with laughter.

Oh my, I am so sorry to hear this. If there is anything I can do (shoulder to vent & cry on)PM me and let me know. I do have a spare bedroom that I would gladly let you use.

Awwwww sweetheart I am so sorry to hear that. That would be a horrible situation to be in. It scares me to just think about it, and I'm not the one going through it.

Maybe you can contact someone about your SSI? I don't really know where to begin to help. But, I can pray and I wiil. But I'm a realist.....sometimes when someone says that you say thanks out loud, but in your head you think - thanks for the prayer now where and I going to live. So I'm not saying I'm going to pray for you and make you think that solves everything because it does'nt. Still, all those reading this will probably pray for you - so keep the strength and may God bless you as you get your checks to come in or you find another place to live. Kathy

Thomasann,

Can you contact your church or the salvation army? I'm not sure but I think that they might be able to help out if only for a short time or they would know where you could go for help. I would also call your attorney or the legal aid and see if they could help hold off this for a little while and maybe they could also help get your hearing moved up alittle bit. I always hate to see things like this happen when people are all ready struggling everyday and then to add this to the mix. I'm thinking of you wish there was more I could do. Jean

thomasann, I'm so sorry to hear of this. Can you go to your local public assistance office? They can give emergency assistance to help out in times like these. What about trying to barter with your landlord? I know he has bills too and it's hard to wait sometimes. I had to wait 3.5 years for SSD to the court hearing to get it. It's very hard. I used all my savings, maxed my credit cards, then went to live with mom and dad and on public assistance for the last year. I still have not recovered from all the bills, I owe about $8,000 yet. I've been on SSD for 2 years next month. I know it's hard. How are you living otherwise for money for food and medications? I'm new to the group so if you previously replied, sorry, I haven't explored yet, just felt compelled to reply to you.

hugs, Tina
