My shoulders and elbows pop and grind almost all the time sometimes it is very painful. Is this one of the FMS? I also get shooting stabbing pains in my neck. When this happens it truly takes my breath away and I usually verbalize this. Is this something that I will learn to control and not verbalize? I'm asking this because I want to be able to keep this to my self and not let my loved ones know that I'm feeling pain. If someone could give me some suggestions I would appreciate it. Count me in as well~ *Jeeeesh, does the list EVER end?*

As far as not verbalizing it...I've learned when I get the shooting pain...instead of yelling "Ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch", like I used to, I now keep my mouth shut. BUT...I can't help but reach up and hold it with one of both hands. It's just something that our body has to do...release it in some way! My hubby now knows...when I grab my neck...he comes running to rub!

As far as my shoulders and elbows...my shoulders are WAY worse than my elbows. And they 'lock up' if I hit a certain position with them. So, when it happens, I reach up with the other hand and 'yank' it down. Again...I hold my arm into and up against my body. Funny how different things I do create a 'list' in my husbands head. It's almost like sign language in our house. He's beginning to know what hurts by what I'm holding!

Oh...Jeeez...where's my manners??!! WELCOME KARENSUE!!! Glad to have ya!

Thanks suzee, I have so many questions and so many pains. Each day I wake up with a new pain and a new question. One of the biggest pain is the sholders popping does this get worse with time? I really does hurt.

Hi karensue,

Welcome to the group. I have neck and shoulder pain (for that matter, where don't I have pain) but as for the joint pain that's caused by the Osteoarthritis that I have. My neck grins and cracks but I have two discs partially disintegrated and locked together so I assume that's the reason for it.

I hope that you find a good doctor and get some relief.
