MDJunction to me

Sylvia4648"I have suffered from depression most of my life, but had some long, non-depressed times. The last 16 years have been an on-going, constantly worsening nightmare for me medically, socially and with my family. 11/2008 to the present has been the worst time in my life, and new things just keep piling up. During that time I’ve gone from being mostly homebound to being totally homebound due to the errors of about 2 dozen doctors who overmedicated me so badly that I came home w/ 4 conditions I didn’t go in with. I spent months wanting to die, and finding MDJ may well have saved my life. It’s one of the worst feelings to know that nobody on earth needs you for anything; but now that I’ve been a group leader for awhile, there are people here who need me. Thanks MDJ." (Sylvia4648)

Oh bless your heart~! I've been there and done that and bought the T-SHIRT! I stayed SO DIZZY on those meds.. They are SO strong. Be careful if you have to drive or anything...but get yourself some PROBIOTICS and keep them in your system because those hpylori meds will kill off all of your good bacteria! That is another problem altogether!! GOOD LUCK! I hope you recover quickly!

Much better...and don't forget to take lots of acidophilis or eat lots of unsweetened yogurt (blah) while you're on the antibiotics. Or just ask for diflucan while you're on the antibiotics to prevent yeast infections.

This sounds really gross, but if your skin gets itchy (like under the breasts) while you're battling yeast, you can use athlete's foot spray (like lotrimin) there too. I freaked when I first heard about it but my doctor said to give it a try.

I agree with the others. Happy it's not cancer but sorry you have to be on antibiotics for awhile. Be sure to take probiotics, it will keep your digestive system healthy and also prevent you from developing other stuff. You can take up to 3 of them 3 times a day. I suggest starting out with just one or two twice a day and then building up. I pray that you heal quickly and are feeling better soon.

Thank goodness. At least it's something easily fixable.

Hey Donna, I've had 2 ulcers back in '94 and '95. They can be quite painful. It's a good idea to take Probiotics as mentioned above anywhee from 24-48 billion per day (wouldn't it be great if we that kind of money?). Dr. Teitelbaum www.endfatigue.com recommends to take Probiotic Pearls 6 hours from taking anti-biotics. Regarding the Diflucan he recommends taking them for 6-12 weeks after a course of antibiotics to prevent or remove yeast infections.

If you are concerned about yeast Dr. Teitelbaum recommends getting of sugar (refined, high fructose corn syrup, honey, maple syrup) and refined grains (especially wheat). If you have a sweet tooth he recommends Stevia as a sugar substitute.

take care,

MJ
