Well Im still getting the run around.... I hate docs they are not helping me. I told my reg doc I needed stronger pain med and of course she did not give me anything stronger. I am sposed to be getting in with a neurologist soon on a emergency status. The rheumy did nothing for me of course he didnt want to tell me I have fibro just more testing and some physical therepy. He said people with fibro dont have sencetivity to light and sound nor do they have nerve pain. What a crook of **beep** I think he needs to do some research or something maybe go back to medical school. I printed something of the internet for him because I dont think he knows what he is talking about. Im **beep**ed off frustrated and ready to crawl in a whole and never come out...

I know how you feel hun! BUT...stay OUT of the hole. Because when you pick yourself back up and crawl out...you're gonna feel the same if not worse!! So, keep your chin up now and get through it. Keep pushing and pulling until you get the answers you're satisfied with!!

Until then and afterwards...I'm here for ya~

That doctor needs to go back to medical school. Nerve pain, sensitivity to sound, smells etc. are definately part of Fibro. A doctor told me that my nerve pain was from the Fibro. In all honesty, I saw a Rheumatologist just once and it was the biggest waste of time I ever did.

Hang in there jillianerin, you'll find a good one someday.

Gentle hugs.

That sounds like a good idea. You can't think well or get on with your life until your pain is under control. Hard to search for a good doc in the midst of severe pain and fibro fog. I'm sorry that rheumy didn't "get it" or understand fibro. Hang in there, and I hope you'll get some relief at the pain center!

Where do you live? Maybe someone could give you the name of a doctor who knows more about fibro. I made the mistake of listening to a nurse in the emergency room who told me to stick to the same doctor if you want a diagnosis and then went undiagnosed for too long. I switched doctors and got a diagnosis within a month. Maybe going to a different doctor would help.
