Before I get dressed for bed and go take all my pills, I wanted to let you all know I wont be posting after tomorrow for a few days. Friday I go in to have an EP study http://www.hrspatients.org/patients/heart_tests/ electrophysiology_study.asp

I already have a pacemaker but probably will come home with a brand new shiny ICD http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Implantable_cardioverter- defibrillator

I have myself in a tizzy about it because I remember when I had to get my pacemaker put in. You are not completely asleep, and I went through a lot of panic attacks during the procedure even with meds being pumped into me. I wish I didnt know this much about it and went in Fri not knowing what is going to go on.

I have had 8 panic attacks since Saturday. I know I am driving dh crazy. But hopefully it will be all over and I will be home Saturday. IF anything happens, ( I know this is morbid but I am not afraid of dying) I want you all to know how much you all mean to me!! This board has been someplace where I can come and vent, and also help others. Kind of gave me a purpose like a job. Anyway, heres hoping you all have a pain free week!!!!

I know me saying it will be ok isn't going to change the way you feel. but my doctor has mentioned me having this procedure done also, i freaked out too! but i talked to a class mate of mine who had it done before and he said its really not that bad. they go up thru your groin and 'zap' the problem area and then there done. he said you have to lay still for 6 hours after to stop the bleeding in your groin but thats it. he said it wasn't bad at all.

I wish you luck and a quick recovery
