Hello Donna I am concerned for you. I don't know if it could be your stomach or not. HUGS River

You should go to the sciatica group and ask Ray some questions about your pain. I have sciatica (large nerve in lower back) and it is PAINFUL.

Ray is a big help on providing tips. Check it out dear.

I hope you feel better soon.

Hi Donna,

I hope, by now, (8:30 PM), your pain is gone or at least has subsided somewhat.

It very well could be sciatica and I think it s safe to say, not stomach related.

Can you tell if it is directly related to the spine or is it the muscles surrounding the spine and lower back ?

I hope you get relief soon ~~~~

Marilyn

thanks Marilyn my pain is gone it is my lower spine the pain comes and goes. I was told I had arthritus there maybe thats it. all my life I didn't have pain and now I have constant pain and I just can't get used to all this pain and all these problems to be honest with you it makes me depressed and nervous it makes me feel like I am going to lose my mind I mean a person can only endure so much of this torture and hell. they need to find a cure so we can have some quality of life, sorry for venting but I swear I hate this and I know it could be worse but it just don't seem like it at the moment. donna

I want my life back. I want everyone to have their life back.

Donna, maybe you could try concentrating on how much better you're doing. If you've improved that much, maybe you can improve still more. Maybe it's time to switch doctors. Maybe the one you have has done all he can do for you. That doesn't mean that more can't be done, it just means that your current doctor isn't the one.

I thought I had a very good doctor. Then I switched and got an even BETTER doctor and now I'm way better than I've been in years.

It's something to think about.

My doctor gave me exercises for the back that were titled "Lumbar Spinal Stenosis Exercises" even though he didn't tell me I had that condition. I had to come home and look it up. If you have arthritis, it's likely you also have spinal stenosis, a narrowing of the opening in the vertebra that the spine travels through. It's often caused by arthritis in the first place. However, the articles I read about it says it presents an awful lot like sciatica. The exercises were: sit-up like, but go to one side then the other, or sitting in a chair and lean down and to one side then the other, leg lifts, and so on. Maybe a little bit of stretching and muscle toning there in the lower back would help your pain some!
