MDJunction to me

"In the 3 months I have been with MDJunction I have developed a sense of calmness. I now friends who do not judge me because I have been a mental mess at times. It is such a good feeling to have friends I can tell my deepest thoughts and always get back to me with their support. I have never seen a therapist for long periods of time. Right or wrong, this is the best therapy possible for me. Thanks Roy for getting this up and running and making such a difference in my life. Sara" (saralaurie)

I am on Topamax for my headaches. It used to help a lot for that, but I have had to have dose increases to keep up with break thru pain. I do not know that it helps with my fibro pain at all.

I take topamax for migraines. I take 25mg in the mornign and 100mg at night. I think it helps me. My daughters friend takes 300mg a day for seizures---I don't see how she functions on that dose. I had problems with topamax in the beginning such as slurred speech and rearrangement of words in sentences, but that has improved. Hope this information helps.

Topomax...I (thankfully) don't get migranes, but I do get stress headaches from my neck and shoulder tenseness. I'm supposed to take 25-50 mg at night to help my stay asleep. Im also bipolar and It's used to treat that?

Anyone know if a generic is available?

I am almost afraid to post. My pharmacist has me feeling guilty for taking anything. I almost feel like I did something wrong by going to the doctor for help. Now I am sitting here in pain because I feel guilty taking my medicine.

Anyhow, I have Flexeril that I take occasionally (as needed). I can take 1 to 2 5mg tablets every 12 hours.

I also have percocet. I can take 1 to 2 tablets every 8 hours as needed

For sleep I have gabapentin that I take at bedtime of course.

I was given an Rx for ritalin to help me have a bit of energy during the day but I haven't filled it yet.

I also have fioricet for the migraines but it doesn't do much. That one is also 1 or 2 every 8 hours as needed.

The doctor told me to take 4 Advil every 8 hours to keep inflammation down. I also take Advil PM if I need to, but since I started the gabapentin I don't really need it.

So that is my list. There doesn't seem to be anything that you all take with the exception of flexeril. She was trying to find cheap meds since I don't have insurance. All of mine are the generic versions of the names I listed.
