Hi Kirs10,

I am taking Mobic (1 tablet every morning) for osteoarthritis and Lyrica 50mgs (1 capsule twice a day) for 'probable fibro' and other pain which my doctor thinks may be coming from endometriosis or scar tissue from three previous abdominal surgeries.

In the beginning I didn't take much at all for fibro because it was manageable most of the time with Ibuprofen, Tylenol X-tra strength and Paxil, with visits to the chiropractor for therapy and adjustments and one supplement he gave me for inflammation, Proteo Plus.

This past year was just horrible and my symptoms got much worse. I am now taking Aleve, Tylenol X-tra Strength, Cymbalta, Adderall for fatigue and ADD symptoms, Zanaflex (muscle relaxant) when needed, a low dose of prednisone (prescribed for asthma) but seems to help some with the fibro pain and fatigue, and a whole lot of supplements and herbs I'm experimenting with including D-Ribose, probiotics, Vit D supplement, Calcium/Magnesium supplement, sublingual vit B12 high dose,

Flax Seed Oil caps, a strong daily multivitamin, high potency timed release Vit C for immune system, alpha lipoic acid supplement, a supplement from my chiropractor called Proteo Plus that contains white willow bark, quercitin, and turmeric when in a flare...that's a handful of pills each day! But I think that I MAY be starting to come out of a horrible flare that began last August. I am slowly feeling better as long as I don't overdo.

Supplements are a tricky thing but I'm willing to try different things and combinations as long as they do no harm! Oh yeah...if all these meds irritate my stomach too much I take Zantac 150mg twice a day. It always takes care of it.

Sorry that you "probably" have fibro because it is a tough thing to live with, but I'm glad that you've found us here!

That's a handful of pills every day!

I take Prozac, Klonopin, Tylenol 1000 mg a day, Neurontin, Lunesta, Zanaflex or Flexeril, whichever I have, Crestor, Toprol XL, Coumadin, Claritin, Nexium, and now have restarted Topamax, going to try to get off Neurontin. Oh yeah and a pain pill, whatever I have, either Percocet or Vicodin

I am taking Neurontin and Cymbalta and trazodone to sleep. My psychiatrist has been monitoring my meds and he doesn't want me on pain medication at all. I feel that I need something though. What do you guys think about this situation.

I have PCOS as well and I'm only meds for it.

I'm currently not taking anything for the Fibro, but here is what I have tried:

Ibuprofen 800mg~ although this has brought some people releife, it gave me no releife

Cymbalta~ not sure which mg, I only took it one time and was so sick that there was no way I ws taking another.

Lyrica 75mg~ Took this for a week with no improvement in pain and it increased my migraines and increased my dizziness

Lyrica 100mg~ Ok I was desperate for it to work, I experienced the same side effects as I did the first time around.

Tramadol 50mg~ This did absolutely nothing for my pain.

Meloxicam 7.5mg~ Don't know what this was suppose to do, but it didn't do it I can tell you that much. I was on this for a month as well.

Tizanidine 2mg~ a muscle relaxer that did absolutely nothing for me. When I first started taking it, it would make me fall asleep but then it stopped making me tired. I was also on this for a month.

Cyclobenzaprine 10mg~ Generic for Flexeril, this doesn't help either. It does however make me sleep sometimes.

Effexor 150mg~ Made me have a constant migraine so I didn't get to continue taking it.

I hope I didn't forget anything lol.
