"I HAVE FIBROMYALGIA AND I WANT TO SUPPORT OTHERS WHO HAVE IT AS WELL." (runningwolf1)

MDJunction to me

"All I can say is that this has been the best place ever. It has been six to seven months since I joined, and I have learned so much. I now believe in myself and accept myself on a completely different level. The people on MDJunction has been so supportive and accepting that I have been able to adopt it into my personal life. That has reduced a lot of stress in my life. Thanks to all." (bunnyfly)

I am bit scared. I go in on Monday and Tuesday for a 2 day nuclear stress test. I put this test off for 30 days or more. The doctor I am going to is my fathers doctor. He had an appointment with him and he doctor asked him when I was going to schedule my test, so I had to do it. On Monday they are doing the treadmill test. The reason that they are doing it is because they can't get my heart rate down. And I have many risk factors i.e.: overweight, diabetic, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, father had heart attack and quadruple by-pass. I am just worried about what they will find during the test or what might happen. I have no insurance so maybe that is what is scaring me thr most.

Suzi

Dear Suzi,

I am praying for you tonight that the Lord will hold you close and give you an overwhelming sense of comfort. If you're familiar with the poem "Footprints in the Sand" I believe this is one of those times when you would only see one set of footprints If you've never heard this poem before please click on the following link: http://www.llerrah.com/footprints.htm

Suzi. I will be praying for you also. I have had many stress tests and they are not exactly fun but not too bad either. I am sure your doctors office will take payments so I would not worry about that. God Bless You

Well Suzi, all I can say is that its better they take a look now...and if they find anything, they can fix it before anything bad should happen. It sounds like there are some definate health factors in your family, and I think your doing the right thing even though your scared. Most people are scared about any type of tests they get,due to the fact that they fear what doctors will find.Just be thankful you can get the test, without insurance.I didnt have insurance, and they wouldnt give me any tests...and I had a huge mass engulfing my ovary! As long as you set up a payment plan on what you owe, everything will be ok.I know several people who can only send $5 a month, but they accept it...at least you'd be making payments. So no worries dear, worrying makes all situations worse.Ill be praying for you.

Yep, my cardiologist who did the stress testing gets $5.00 a month. He said as long as I pay it each month there is no problem. The total bill is $1800.

I recently had that test done and it is not that big of a deal. It is expensive, but perhaps you could file for assistance at the Medicaid office. You'll do fine and everything will be alright!

warmest wishes,

R.

They are going to let me make payments. The total for self pay on this test is $955, they charge the insurance company $1900. So it is cheaper to self pay. LOL I guess the main reason they are letting me is that they know my father and they love him to death. I am just scared about what they will find.

Suzi, try not to cross that bridge until and if you have to. Worrying just makes everything worse and yes I know it's hard not too. But try. Even if they do find something, it's better to know about it and be able to treat it.

Well I finished both tests. They scheduled me to come in on Apr 23 for the test results. Well, they called a little while ago with the results. They came back abnormal. They are scheduling a Left heart catheterization for the Apr 23 now. My dad had that done last year, then had 3 stints put in then he had a heart attack in Dec then surgery a week later.
