MDJunction to me

"I have been struggling with Fibromyalgia, Bipolar, Anxiety, Post traumatic Syndrome for quite some time and pretty much going it alone. I stumbled across MDJunction by accident. I stayed in the shadows and just watched for four days and then I joined, feeling relieved and excited to have found a safe place with alot of folks that I could relate to . It's proove to be medically and emotionally
helpful to me and now I can't go a day without coming in at least 4 or five times a day! I Love my family here.

Currently my Dr. has me taking the following Meds: tramadol, flexeril, naproxen, lyrica, budeprion xl, ibuprofen, ambien cr. Dose any body know what might work better that dose not cost to much . The pain meds & muscle relaxer's are not working any more and dose any body know a way to stop muscle spasm's & shakey hands . it would be a great help that way i have some ideas to ask my dr. about.

(p.s.) sorry for any mispelling. Just a littel tired but cant fall asleep.

Buproprion works for many, but it made me jittery. I would cease taking it and move to a combo of Klonopin and Elavil to replace it. Elavil is a tricyclic antidepressant that could be helpful to pain, but there are others that could help as well. You did not say weather you experience depression are not, and knowing this and weather you have sleep cycle issues would dictate the type of tricyclic that might be chosen. Tricyclics are dose critical, as are many antidepressants.

As for pain, you are probably going to have to move to a stronger pain reliever but they cost more, and personally lyrica did not help me -- but I know it helps most people. Oxycodone would be my best guess -- not cheap, but a good drug.

Some people have better luck with neurotin, still not cheap, but cheaper than lyrica.

See your doctor, and let us know the combination that ends up doing the job.

Warmest Wishes,

R.

Buproprion made me have hand tremors and I was always jittery also. I was taking it three times a day. My dr switched me to Klonopin and I really like it much better. I also just recently switched from Cymabalta back to Prozac. I feel so much better. I also take Flexeril at night.

I think Zanaflex isnt too much, it is a muscle relaxer, and the Klonopin generic is cheap also, as is Prozac.

Hope you find a combo that works 4 u.

I take Trazadone for depression (it also helps with sleep), clonazepam (generic for Klonipin) and Baclofen for a muscle relaxant. As for the muscle spasms, I still have them and nothing seems to take them all away. If you find something that does, please let me know. Good luck to you.

Believe it or not, my dr prescribed Valium for me when I am having bad muscle spasms. It really works well.

I believe you mamanordy. I used to take Valium but they took it away because it is addictive (as if that should matter huh?) Valium is a muscle relaxant so it's no wonder that it helps. Good for you, at least you can get some relief.
