HAS ANYONE EVER HAD THE BLOOD TEST DONE FOR YOUR ADRENAL GLAND CHECKING FOR ADRENAL FATIGUE? LAST WEEK I HAD TESTS DONE CHECKING MY THYROID, PROGESTERONE, ESTROGEN, AND ADRENAL GLAND. ALL HAVE COME BACK OKAY BUT THEY SAID THAT IT MAY TAKE SOME MORE TIME FOR THE TEST FOR ADRENAL GLAND TO COME BACK. IT HAS BEEN 8 DAYS NOW. DOES IT REALLY TAKE THIS LONG OR COULD THERE BE PROBLEMS AND MY DR. IS CHECKING WITH ANOTHER DR.?????

I would not think those tests should take so long.

mine are normally 1-3 days max, I have adrenal fatigue alot because I have had to take predisone for years and my adrenal no longer functions on it's own so if I try to lower my dose of predisone I end up to Exausted to lift my head

WELL I AM WONDERING IF THIS MEANS THAT THEY MAY HAVE FOUND SOMETHING. I JUST STOPPED WORKING OVERNIGHT AND I LETERALLY THOUGHT THAT IT WAS GOING TO KILL ME. I DID IT FOR ALMOST 4 YEARS. I HAVE ALMOST ALL OF THE SYMPTOMS AND TRUELY BELIEVE THAT THIS IS WHAT I HAVE. WHAT TREATMENTS ARE YOU DOING? DOES IT HELP WITH THE FATIGUE AND ENERGY?? IF SO HOW LONG BEFORE YOU STARTED SEEING INMPROVEMENT? DO YOU GO THROUGH YOUR REG PHYSCIAN OR A SPECIALIST? I TRIED CALLING AN ENDOCRONOLIGIST BUT NEEDED A REFFERAL FIRST.

They may be checking it again, but if you are worried tell them........... you have to remember the doctors work for us WE pay them call tomorrow please !

I use just my reg doc for now, because she is right across the street and most of the time I am too sick to got very far......... ya even to go to the docs it is hard and I need so many specialists it gets to be just to much.......... the predisone I have been on works like a charm. I take it for lupus and need about 10-40 mg per day the higher the dose the better I feel......... but I really want to get off since it has caused me to develop Cushings syndrome 100 lbs weight gain,

moon face, looking 9 mo pregnant all not cool so I try to lower the dose nice and easy I get anywhere below 10mgs and boom I am in Adrenal Exaustion and the doc bumps me back up to higher doses

I think I should see a endro and will someday I am sure.........when I feel up to it

Let me know how what they say when you call tomorrow

Hugs

Bella

I am in the same boat as you with the Prednisone Bella!

I guess we can only do what our bodies will allow...right now I am not able to completely wean off the prednisone either. If I get below the 10 mg a day ( I use alternate day dosing though and that helps a little w/ the side effects) I end up stiff and in terrible pain and so exhausted I can hardly lift my head off the pillow let alone get out of bed!
