I was just wondering if anybodies fibro actually stared in one of there joints. My pain actually started in my knee with inflamation. Then it began to migrate wherever it damn well pleased...

Thanks, Jill

Mine started in my knee as well. At first I thought I had cancer. Then when the pain started moving all through out my body I thought my mind was playing tricks on my body. A couple of people I know mentioned that my symptoms seemed like Fibro, but I had never head of fibro before so I was to afraid to look it up, thinking it was something that killed people. Then my doctor after a year of listening to me cry and complain said maybe its fibro. She went through the tnder points check list with me and then sent me out the door with a free week trial of Lyrica and instructions to look into it on the internet.

I went back in about a week later and told her this is me, you have found my problem, and so now I'm waiting to get into the ruematologist for the official diagnosis.

Sorry for gatting carried away. I have a bad habbit of talking allot to so it's not just when I type lol.

Mine actually seemed to start with my right ankle. It started to burn and tingle and have pain daily. I thought I must have pinched a nerve somewhere. Then, I noticed my arms getting tired and having a hard time holding them up. The pain moved through the rest of my body within a few months. I guess the rest of my body didn't want to be left out of the fun!!! I had suffered from whiplash a few years prior, but had recovered from that pretty well. Now, however, that whiplash pain I had in my neck seems to come back. Even in the same place. It's like those muscles remember my previous injury and react more stronly than the others. Weird!!!!

Mine started after a wind storm accident.

I was caught out in a straight line wind of 180 miles per hour it, hit my side of the car that my newborn I were passengers in.

It blew out the windows,It blew glass all over my little baby girl, her eyes were closed but covered in glass, I laid on top of her to protect her from everything that was flying into the car

I was hit with that force of blowing debris or rocks, boards glass from a big farm house that exploded about 50ft from our car.

I was in and out of the hospital for nearly 2 yrs and had ton's of tests like milograms,MRI,catscans, EEGS and may more.............

well when all was said and done I had alot of they said I had alot soft tissue damage, and lots of nerve damage too

They had me in traction and every other kind of treatment you can think of for a couple of years

I finally was basiclly as "healed" as the doctors said I was going get

but I was still in daily pain so they said "fibrosis" had set into the soft tissue thats is what they called fibro back in 1980 and they later they called it Fibromyalgia now they have tacked on the lupus but that might be something I would have gotten anyway I am not sure where one painful cond. starts and the other ends

I copied this post from another post I made to Linda just because it's easier. lol

The first thing that happened with me was either a bad cold or the flu with severe neuralgia in my head. After that went away, in about 6 months my feet started to hurt when I stood on them first thing in the morning then it progressed to my ankles and calves. After that it was all downhill.

My baby girl who is now 28 yrs old was Miraclously unharmed, at the time even though the shattered glass covered her tiny face, eyes and even went through her sleeper and here diaper was full of glass on the inside

she had no cuts anywhere at all............ some kind angelic folks got us to the ER and the doctors kept rechecking her over and over they could not believe that she was unharmed............ miracles happen
