MDJunction to me

"In the 3 months I have been with MDJunction I have developed a sense of calmness. I now friends who do not judge me because I have been a mental mess at times. It is such a good feeling to have friends I can tell my deepest thoughts and always get back to me with their support. I have never seen a therapist for long periods of time. Right or wrong, this is the best therapy possible for me. Thanks Roy for getting this up and running and making such a difference in my life. Sara" (saralaurie)

I just got back from the dentist. They pulled one of teeth in the very back of my mouth and the pain is terrible. They said it would be a little tender and to take Ibuprofen for the ache. What ache? My whole jaw hurts.

Is it normal for people with fibro to hurt more than others even with dental work?

Oh honey! I feel for ya! OUCH!

My mouth will hurt for a week just from a cleaning! So I can only imagine with having a tooth pulled! Hang in there!

cadburry, having teeth pulled is NOT fun by any means. If you have pain meds for your Fibro take them. It will help the pain for your mouth.

I have the worst doctor so I'm on absolutely nothing for my fibro, but I am going to the pain clinic on the 28th. Hopefully they will give me something. Even though my doctor is the one that brought fibro up to me and has scheduled me an appointment with the ruematologist to get the official diagnosis she only put me down for knee pain in my referal. Can you beleive that! I'm in so much pain everyday that my blood pressure reaches dangerously high levels. The only part of my body thats not effected by this is my toes. My wonderful doctor didn't even prescribe me anything for these awful headaches.

My mom and I have made up our minds about my doctor. We hate her.

Cadbury,

I hope your mouth is feeling a little better today.

Did you have an abscess or something like that, I can't believe the guy didn't give you anything. If it still hurts, can you call and ask for something. I do hope your pain subsides soon.

do you have tmj? many people with fibro have tmj also, I do. Maybe you should consider changing dentist. My dentist is great, they are very understanding about fibro and yes we do hurt more than other people after having any thing done to our bodies. I can't believe they didn't give you anything for the pain. anyone, fibro or not would need pain meds after having a tooth pulled. I would seriousely consider changing dentist. Your paying this person for a service. Hope the pain doesn't last too long.

omg- I went to the dentist last week and had 4 fillings done during the appointment from hell and my mouth STILL hurts, so having a tooth pulled must be 10 times worse, and yes, we hurt more from having anything done! I only wish these doctors could experience the same pain we feel, like in the movie the doctor, with William Hurt.

I would call the dentist and ask if he could call something in for you.if he won't then get him to see you because something is going on, maybe an infection or something.
