I am completely at my wits end! This past week has been one of my worst ever with regards to pain and fatigue. I have an unrelenting headache x 36 hours now. Severe burning and pain in my neck and shoulders, generalized stiffness, experienced chest pain most of the day yesterday. I have been on the verge of tears off and on for a week now. When my brain would go into hybernate mode I used to call it brain fog now I tell everyone my brain has taken a walk without permission. Unfortunately hitting the ctrl/alt/delete keys are not an option!

As I sit here to type this out I have to stop typing secondary to loss of strength from my fingers all the way up my arms, they suddenly become dead weight and feel incredibly heavy! I could go on and on with all of my mysterious psuedosymptoms (LOL).

One would think that living in the middle of one the most notorious Medical Centers of the country there would be at least a dozen or more physicians specializing in the treatment of Fibro/CFS/CEBV but alas there is only one that I have found. I saw her regularly several years ago and the most she could offer me where Vit. B12 injections and some sublingual drops of glutathione/ATP (extremely painful injections of this prior to the development of the drops). I suppose they did not help enough that I could justify paying $10.00 per injection or the $60.00 per bottle of sublingual drops. Needless to say I stopped seeing her.

FRUSTRATION! Well it was a combination of several factors that sent me on yet another internet search for a doctor. During this search I ran across this site. I visited every page on it, pulled it up several times and looked it over again.

APPREHENSION! How could I even begin to allow myself to think there might be help - true help and not a bunch of hype? HOPE? Do I even begin to allow myself to feel a sense of hope? So many times in the past I had hope and it was followed by a major let down! How many more times should I do this to myself in hopes that one of these days something will make a difference?

How many of us have spent a fortune on half or more of all the supplements promising a cure/relief etc.?

Years ago I changed my diet. No more fast foods, fried foods, processed foods, artificial sweetners, avoidance of preservatives, switching over to organic foods as much as possible, etc... Don't get me wrong these things did in fact make a huge difference! I managed to start having 'Up' days when I was able to get things accomplished. Then the 'Down' days followed... this big roller coaster ride of 'ups' and 'downs' unfortunately many many more 'down' days than 'ups'! Now the 'down' days are predominate as I cannot remember the last 'up' day I had. I think it was about two months or so ago!

Enough rambling and back to my reason for posting to begin with. The WEBSITE?

http://www.fibroandfatigue.com/

I broke down and did an online chat with a representative. The chat ended with my scheduling an appointment in two weeks. I received the 25 page questionaire (sp) they emailed me. I was disappointed. It barely touched the surface of all my symptoms (psuedosymptoms according to the majority of the Nations Health care providers) LOL <and how many of us have wanted to have the super power to transfer all our psuedosymptoms to them so we could hand them a script for an antidepressant and suggest they see a psych doc> ROFLMAO

Hmmm... My apologies - side tracked once again. Have any of you gone to the center, heard of it, or know anyone that has? If so please let me know. Also if you do go check out the site would you share your thoughts and opinions about it with me?

I guess the fact that I scheduled the appointment and still intend to keep it suggest I still have Hope!

Wishing all of you a day without pain, a day of mental clarity, a day of peace and tranquility,

Dedoodle

I haven't gone to it but I have tried getting an appt. My problem is they don't take ins so I would be stuck paying the fee for the office visit. I have heard they are suppose to be good. It would be interesting to know if it would be worth paying 200-300 dollars for an office visit. I hope you stop hurting soon. Good Luck finding a dr.
