Does anyone get a burning feeling along with pain in the shoulders? I have experienced this for a couple of days. Even my pain meds have not touched the pain I am getting. I started getting pain in the shoulders last Monday after I had a MRI with dye contrast. This Monday I started getting a burning feeling along with it. I have tried massage therapy. We got a new place here that has a machine that does water massages. Last Wednesday and last Saturday were really bad migraine days for me as well. I feel like I am falling apart!!!!

Yes, the burning with the pain is a part of Fibro, unfortunately. I hate it when it burns. Nothing to put the fire out either. Sorry, no good news from me. I have the burning pain right now.

What other symptoms do you get. I get numbness in my back (pain in shoulders along with burning) (new) very frequent migraines. I cannot drive for very long then my knees hurt.

Burning is caused by nerve pain I believe. Regular painkillers will not work on nerve pain. Things like amitriptyline usually help with that type of pain according to my neurologist............

I tried amitypline but it kept me up at night and I had increased headaches/migraines. So my nero took me off of it. I did take my pain killer and it didn't stop the pain. It did help however with the migraine I was having. I just wish it would have took care of both. I am currently waiting for my nero to call me back on this matter. Thank you for your reply.

They have had me on both at the same time. I have taken amitrityline for the burning and then Vicodin or Tramadol for the other pains...headache and so on. Neurologists seem to love to write an Rx so I am usually on a combination of junk to control all the symptoms. No, one pill does not do it all..........at least in my experience with this delightful illness.......

I get it also, the burning. It is most likely nerve pain, neurontin helps for nerve pain, but not much. This is just my opinion.

I get that wonderful burning like I am walking on hot coals. Then sometimes I get this feeling like part of my feet are not there. They just go numb, but only in a line down the center of my feet.

Then there is the lovely burning in my lower back, along with the burning, I get this stabbing in my back. Just so much fun.

My shoulders are one of the worst areas of my body, as far as pain. Sometimes I will get that burning pain, sharp pain, and then feel like I'm gonna be sick and pass out. It is really scarey when I'm somewhere without any of my family, cause what if I actually do pass out?

I haven't been to the rheumy since the above has started. But I do have it on my list to discuss with him.

I had an MRI of my shoulder and it shoes Bursitis. The doc says though, that it's mostly from the fibro pain.

Good luck! Keep us informed!
