Hi everyone!! Sorry to see so many in pain today I'm sending you all SOFT HUGS!!

Ok, I just sat down this morning with a piece of cake! It was right there on my countertop and I couldn't help it. I feel like crap this morning and I'm so tired and it was right there. I don't usually keep this stuff around, but another family member sent it over for the kids.

Of course doc wants me to eat healthy, but when you're in pain, it's not very motivating to chew on leaves (ok, spinach, brocolli, kale, etc.) I do try to juice my veggies. I can get more in that way. With TMJ too, it's hard to chew a lot! Are you guys able to eat this way? Can you live on fish and lettuce and green shakes?? I cook up big roasts and whole chickens, etc. for the family so I can put in fridge to eat again later, but I'm not even supposed to eat a lot of that kind of stuff. But, it's too hard to cook for them and then cook myself a separate meal.

Ok, then another doc I see says to eat whatever my body tells me I need - except for candy. Even steak is ok! Listen to my body - it's probably telling me what I need. Nobody seems to agree on anything and it's pretty frustrating!

So, today my body needed CAKE!!???

Anybody else have cake days??

Welllll I baked a cake yesterday in the shape of a baseball as opening day in Cincinnati is a big deal around here, and every year I bake one, my son kind of expects it. He and his wife are at the game today and we are watching the grandson. Anyway, I have been staring at this cake ALL DAY. But I wont cut into it until they get home. I have been known to have cake for breakfast quite a few times... LOL

I cant eat a lot of the dark green veggies because it interferes with my PT/INR levels ( I take Coumadin). I usually eat corn and uh..corn. Celery? LOL

Thank you mamanordy! I am going to stick with you! I have a feeling these GREEN things may actually be bad for your health! LOL Man, I bet that baseball is going to taste soooo good this afternoon!! I wish these kids would hurry up and eat what's left of mine! It's still staring at me and lunch is right around the corner!!

I have been known to eat cake or even Ice cream for breakfast. I also drink them green shakes. I make them myself. I try to eat better, but my hubby loves to buy backed goods or candy then he does not eat them. I dont want them to go to wast so I end up eating them, then wash it down with a green shake. LOL, I just chalk it all up to being a bit crazy.. LOL

Just wash it all down with a green shake!! LOL By the way, got any great green shake recipes??? I'm still trying to convince myself these things are GOOD for me

My thought is that if it sounds good my body must be craving it so it is very important to keep my body happy. It is hard enough to keep everyone else happy so if I'm happy and my body is happy all is well with the world. My husband has always said that if I want something and he doesn't that I go ahead anyway and he can get mad and stay mad or get over but either way I'm happy and that is what counts. So if my body craves something then it should have it. Except salty stuff because then I just really swell and feel like my skin is too tight. Jean

I crave sweet stuff, especially cake, so I have found a way to have cake for breakfast! Really - I eat this every morning! It's very healthy and yummy! Here's the recipe:

3 cups flour - I use 1c oat flour, 1c milled flaxseed, 1c WW flour

1 1/3 cups sugar or honey

3 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp salt

2 eggs

3 cups lowfat milk or soymilk

4 Tbsp applesauce

5 cups Raisin Bran cereal

1 cup oatmeal

Mix dry ingredients together, mix wet ingredients together, then combine. Bake at 375 for approximately 30 minutes or until firm in the middle.

Oh my gosh! STOP IT! I soooo want cake again right now! Betterday, I am going to try that recipe! Sounds really tasty

I'm really sorry you have to wait for that BB cake mamanordy! I agree with dragonfly - step away from the cake - go to another room - focus on your pain and craving is GONE! Ok, maybe bad advice

You all are cracking me up!! I so needed a laugh today!
