I'm tired, scared, in allot of pain and depressed.

I can't work so that I can proviode for my children. I get less than 200 dollars a month in child support.

I went from bringing home 400 dollars a week to that and now they are going to take my medicaid and I also have polycystic ovarian syndrome and if that goes untreated I will most likely develope cervial cancer and without anyway to get medical insurance I will die from something that could have been totally prevented.

I just want to be normal again and be able to work.

What do you do when you feel like it's all to much?

Keep going dear, it's what you can do, you just have to get up and keep going, I know that sounds harsh and I don't mean for it to, I too have been and still am to some extent exactly where you are and though you are going to recieve a ton of love and support from everyone here, there are no easy answers, I can only tell you what I do, and that's just keep going, you love your children I'm sure so as hard as it is with what you can't do for them , think of how devistated they would be with out you, you'd be doing a lot less for them if you weren't around. Sometimes my daughter (9) is all that keeps me here, but she's soooo worth it, I hope you can find some comfort, I don't work either , it's really hard, but we really are here to help you keep going forward, in all the ways we can. I wish you peace tonight, take care and hang on, we're here.

Cadburry, I don't know why they would take your Medicaid if you cannot work and that child support is your only source of income! I know that it varies by state, but here in Ohio I have to meet with my Medicaid caseworker every six months to evaluate whether or not I can still get Medicaid or if I have to go into one of their "job training" programs to get me off of it. I just needed to have my primary doctor send my caseworker a letter stating that I was disabled and unable to work due to pain and fatigue and mental fog, and I was then permitted to keep receiving medicaid as long as I met the income requirements.

If that is not an option for you then perhaps your Medicaid caseworker or a social service agency would know of any low income programs and clinics for the uninsured....these are often difficult to find and few people know about them. I will pray that you find help soon. Everything seems more frightening when you are in pain and feeling alone. We are always here for you and it seems that there is always someone else who has gone through what you are going through who can guide you in the right direction. Please hang in there!

You pick yourself up and do it all again tomorrow.....and every day when you first open your eyes you hope and pray the previous day was just a nightmare. You drag yourself out of bed and keep going because there will be an answer.......we are so close....it will appear to us any day now......so you keep going because you want to be there right at the front of the line when that answer arrives........

Cadburry,

I have to agree with the postings regarding Medicaid. They won't take it unless there is a reason. As I mentioned in a previous response to one of your posts, Medicaid was put in place specifically for people like us. I assume that you care for minors and without other sources of income, you would qualify. Talk to your case worker.

PCOS has no connection to cervical cancer as far as I know. I have read a lot about it since I might have it.

The first line of treatment for PCOS is usually Provera shots, combination oral contraceptives, and/or weight loss.

You can also apply for financial assistance in your state and yes, I am referring to Welfare, WIC, Food Stamps. Do what you have to do to care for yourself so you can care for your child/ren.

You have GOT to help yourself! I know it is hard to do and depression only makes it worse, but for your child/ren, you HAVE to!

In the state of Indiana they are no longer going to have medicaid for low income people as of June first and I assume it's going to be like that every where before long.

The specialist I see for my PCOS said because I don't have my monthly visits that it can cause a thickening in the uterin wall and can result in cancer.

I would try to get my doctor to send a statement to my case worker but I know she wont. When I was telling her how much pain I'm in and that I have not been able to work in the past year and three months, she said her brother suffers from chronic pain due to some spinal injury and made it a point to let me know he works.

I thought to myself good for him, but we are talking about me, you need to stop comparing people!

He drives a semi(SP?). If I had a job I would have to be on my feet all day long plus I don't get pain meds which I'm sure her brother does!

I told my mom tonight that I feel so hopeless. I have been feeling so sick because of all the stress.

I did a search on Indiana Medicaid Program and didn't find any news articles referring to Medicaid not being available for low income people. Can you provide a link to the article or the newspaper name that had that information? It would be an interesting read if this is something that all states might put in to effect.

Medicaid was established specifically for low income people. Who would they provide it to if not low income people?
