It used to be so fun to decorate, way back when. We just got a new house, have only been in it a little over a month. Bought a new comforter set, the whole 9 yds, bedskirt, valances, etc. I asked dh to help me. By the time the valances were hung, I am so exhausted and my tachycardia has kicked in and the pain is fierce.

What has happened to me? I feel like a big fat worthless blob.

Don't be so hard on yourself. Putting up valances is not easy. I have been working on getting wallpaper off the wall for 4 months. I really hate the stuff. YOU ARE NOT WORTHLESS. Doing one thing a day is a great achievement. I bet it looks great with the valances up, makes a big difference did't it. With this disease I have decided one thing a day is a hugh accomplishment. Do you have a friend who could come and help, you make it a party. A small short party. I'd come and help if I lived close by. Where are the smileys I can't find them. We are not blobs we are slow moving goddesses.

Hooray for us goddesses! LOL Please try to stay positive, I too feel like a fat worthless blob most of the time, and am forever dealing with guilt for what I can't manage to do especially when it comes to my little girl, I recently started(not easy!) trying to look at what I can still do, and trying to find joy in that aspect, again it's not easy and it's never 100% peaches and cream and happy witth what I am now, but it's a place to start, maybe each day you could just write down one or two things you are still able to do , and by the end of the week maybe you'll see how UN-worthless you are! (maybe I'll try it too LOL Isn't it easier to give advise and be caring to others than ourselves lol I hope this helps and you can find a smile today for who you are , you're still you , even if you are sick! You'll find lots of support here!

Ruby, you are soooo smart! That's great advice you have...I was gonna give it too! I like the fact that we are goddesses...now if I could just find my wand that goes with it.

Mamma, you are not a blob. In fact, what would you tell me if I had written what you did? You would tell me the same. Getting one thing a day done is a huge accomplishment! In fact, it adds up to 7 things a week, at least 28 things in a month...see, you have to look at the positives, my friend. I know it's hard, but you can do it. We are here to help you & hold your hand if you want. Do you feel mine? They are a little cold today, sorry - but warm with love.

My major thing I accomplished today was taking a shower and going to the pain clinic. I was whipped after that - needed to rest!

So, mamanordy, you are not a blob. You are a beautiful goddess who is smart, funny, compassionate, and loyal. (That is just a start...I can list more if I need to.)

Hope you have a good night, my goddess friend!

I only got 2 things done all day. I did the dishes and fixed dinner. when my hubby got home he thanked me for doing them. Dishes took me all day. Dinner, well I have rediscovered the crock pot. my hubby bought me one that you can program in how long on what temp to cook. so I just put it all in the pot and let it do its thing. I recommend it to everyone here.

I can identify feeling like a big fat blob. but my hubby must not mind, he is the one that brings home the cookies and cake every day.

I think we all have them days. But remember that you got threw it last time and you will get threw it this time.

try making the list and see how good it will make you feel. I do one. I write on an eraser board the thing I need to do all week. Then I mark them off one by one. It really feels good to mark something off. Just put little things down, like got the mail, take a shower, wipe down the counters. just some suggestions.

I hope you start to feel better soon.

I think it is always a struggle when you are confronted with things you can no longer do or not do as well. I used to really like to paint. We are painting our house to put it on the market and it has caused tension between my husband and I. I didn't realize until yesterday my tension comes from some envy that he can work 10 hours a day and come home and paint another 5. I do one hour and am totally whiped out. So today I did paint but in small increments. I took breaks and stopped when I had to.

I can't marathon paint anymore-but I CAN paint for short periods. It felt good to at least paint some rather than avoid it entirely because I know it is a challenge and it reminds me my energy is like that of an old lady.

We are not pathetic but fibro is. We have to work harder to blame the real reason we can not do much. It's not that we don't want to- it's that we can't because of this stupid condition.

I hate fibro but I am going to try to not hate myself for having it!

Thank you all so much for the kind and compassion you showed for me last night. I was really upset, I had to take several pills to calm my heart down and me down, but I got through it. Went to bed and watched tv, and relaxed, cuddling with my furbabies.

I feel better today, as I got up and took my dogs for a short walk. I was exhausted after doing it but I seemed to recover from it and now I am here.

Love ya all!! Thanks so much!!

I am so glad you are feeling better today. Think goddess. Jean the Goddess of Slow Movers (somewhere in the mythology their must be one.) Have a great day.
