That is so sweet. Give the little angel a big hug for me. Give yourself soft fibro hugs for me.

Oh that is so sweet! It also is healthy I think to let children know that cemeteries are nothing to be afraid of.I bet the children would have loved for him to play with their toys!

Sorry I missed this when it began. I'm getting tickled by these cute stories. I have one but I hope it makes sense so I'll do the best I can.

This story is in rememberance of "Aldo" the father of a former friend of mine. Long story... she also has fibro and after 25 years our friendship went to out the window.

Anyway Aldo-her father- died on May22nd so in memory of him- here's the story...

At least 12 years ago when my dad was still living and I was singling staying with him we were going to order dinner out from this little Italian place-"Elda's"- had great veal parm sandwiches...

My dad- also gone now 7 years at the time always made things complicated. I'm ordering from an Italian place and he wants a "Fried Chicken Dinner"- "Dad- I don't know if they have fried chicken there?" I said with some irritation.

So I call the place. A foreign guy answers and I ask- "Do you have any chicken dinners?" Responds- "What?"- I shake my head and say again louder and slower "DO YOU HAVE ANY CHICKEN DINNERS???" long pause - I'm thinking- (why do they have someone who doesn't know english well answering the phone) - one last time "I just want to know if you carry Chicken DINNER????

Then I hear " Well-ah- momma she's makin a chicken on the grill??"(heavy Italian accented man)

Then I realize I dialed my friends phone number who's parents are foreign and I was speaking to her father "Aldo"- The phone number to the Italian place was only one digit different from their home phone.

When I realize it was him I started to laugh so hard I couldn't breath-"Aldo I'm sorry I have the wrong number" I said and continued to laugh so hard I almost peed my pants.

I guess his wife was mad he didn't catch what was going on and repremanded him for talking with me so long about chicken dinners when he didn't know it was me.

To top it off - after my call and all the laughing I did I guess he turned to his daughter and asked (my name is Melissa) but in his broken accent- Isz MEElEESA on Dope??????

You'd have to know them to appreciate this story even more. It will be two weeks tomorrow Aldo died in his sleep. He left me with so many funny memories... again I hope this made sense!!!!

Another grandson story: Last Saturday my grandson needed to use the bathroom and told his mom he could do it by himself. He will be 3 in July. Anyway, he goes to the bathroom and is in there quite a while and my daughter went in to check on him and he was still sitting on the potty and was holding both sides of it, she said are you done yet? and he said no and grunted real loud and his face was turning red from straining and then he yelled, "no Mom, the really big one is coming". She laughed til she almost peed all over herself.
