coooool stuff. my husband left half of his $100 walmart purchase at the store. i only left my wallet. mind you walmart is an hour away.my mom used to do roll call with us kids what was funny about it is i was the only one still livihg at home and the youngest so by the time she got to my name she would forget what she was going to yell at me for. i have crs, it of course is worse now. yesterday i forgot why my eyes were opened. about ten minutes later irealized that i was supposed to get up. at least i didn't forget the barbecue last night, but the man in charge of it did. if i had known we were ging to have blackened stake for diner i would have spiced it up a bit. even "normal" people can be absent minded. isn't life funny? tooooo bad i can't remember most of it.

huggs to all

Here we go again. I finally broke down and bought a cane. In order to get it the right height, I went on line and got the instructions on how to measure it. My hubby and I got out the yard stick and measured. He even said he'd leave it a little bit longer cause you can't glue back on what you took off. Everything went well and it was the perfect height. When I went to use it on Monday, the cane had shrunk about an inch. Then it struck me. We had two dummies who when measuring the length didn't bother to notice I wasn't wearing my shoes. Needless to say, I now have two canes one for shoeless me and the other for when I wear shoes.

Now thats funny! Hope you don't wear 'high heel' shoes. Hey, on days where your back really is knotted up and you can't really stand up straight...that new cane will be "perfect"!!

Your name wouldn't happen to end in 'ski' now would it?

Sounds like something my hubby and I did years ago in our first house. We tore down some walls, and things were turning out great. We just had a few more things to finish up! We wanted to move the 'thermostat' so it wasn't in the middle of our main LR wall. So, doo dee dooo...

We looked at it from several different angles and decided "ahhh..this is the perfect spot! So he reran the wiring, drilled holes and we mounted the new programmable thermostat. Ok, everything is done, including the touch up painting around the fixture. Time to relax!!

We 'turned up' the heat, and the furnace came on, right on cue! About 3 minutes later, the heat turned off. Hummm!! So we turned the heat up higher!! 3 minutes the heat turned off again! What the ???? He goes down to the basement. The furnace checks out fine. So we walked away from it and sat there for awhile to think it over. Do de dah, dumb de dumb

OH MY GOD!!!! We looked at each other....and then just busted out laughing so hard, we thought we'd wet our pants! We never noticed the fact....that we had placed our new beautiful thermostat....

right above a main heat blowing vent!!!!!

SO....how many Pollocks DOES it take to move a thermostat!!!

That's hillarious. Last name ends in ner but maiden name ended in sek Ha Ha. That sounds like a younger me when me and my roommates decided to move the furniture around. Our heater wouldn't kick on at all when we were there. We were freezing and called our rental office. They sent the maintanance man out and the heater was fine. After three times out, one of our friends that happened over that day told us that the reason the heater wouldn't kick when we were there was because we had the lamp situated right under the thermostat. We quickly moved the lamp and got heat into the house.

Doesn't have anything to do with the fibro, just stupidity. Words of advice to live by.

Always put the toilet seat lid down when refilling the toilet paper caddy. Otherwise you end up with a roll of toilet paper floating in the bowl absorbing all the water.

On memorial day we took my grandson, who will be 3 in July to the cemetary. He seen all the flowers when we pulled in and he wanted to get out when we did. we put our flowers on the graves and got ready to leave and he started crying. Screaming his lungs out. We couldn't figure out what was wrong and the farther we got away from the cemetary the louder he screamed. Finally we got him to tell us what was wrong. HE didn't want to leave the flower garden, it was so pretty. And someone had left toys on some childrens' graves and he wanted to go back and play with the toys in the flower garden.
