You should have been with us yesterday. My hubby, (just turned 60) and I went to Lowe's to see if they had something to keep the voles away. Got inside and he says: what are we looking for? I said I don't know you wanted to come to Lowe's. I know but I forgot why we came here was his answer. So we walked out and went to Menards. Got inside and he says, Why are we here? I told him to look for them thingys (couldn't remember what them darn things were called) and I know where it's at. We found the thingys and they didn't have but 4. I needed at least 14. So off to WalMart we go ho ho. Got to Walmart. What are we looking for? I know where they are just forgot their names. Found the thingy's. They are now called little fences to put out front. We're standing there, how many should we get? (We've been thru this before with the last thingy's I had out there) I asked how long is the little garden. He said 10', that what sticks in my mind. I said I thought it was 20 feet.

So we got 10 of them little thingy's cause each were two feet long.

Arriving at home, we start putting up the little fences. Got almost all the way done and we're 10' short. Turns out that the little garden is 30' long. At Wal-Mart this morning ( after my Dr's appt which turned out fine) the gal looks at me and says I guess you were right yesterday or ya wouldn't be her buying for more today. My hubby says from now on we need to keep a pen and notebook to write stuff down from. We had a good time making fun of ourselves and I got to drive the latest addition to our family.

May your troubles be less,
Your blessing be more,
And nothing but happiness come through your door!

lmao, that is a good one!!! I can totally relate!

I've been an "airhead" all of my life, easily distracted, difficulty multi-tasking, "CRS" - Can't Remember Sh** - from a young age, especially people's names and that is so embarrassing! Daydreaming...mind wandering...etc. I was recently diagnosed with adult ADD and just started Adderall last week. It is helping some with the focus and concentration problems. But I STILL can't remember names half the time. Not even my kids and cats! I am always addressing them by the wrong name. Might as well laugh as cry!

It does help some...

Don't feel so bad about the kids' names. My mom and dad had 7 kids, 4 boys and 3 girls, my mom was forever not getting the names right. She would try to call on one of us when we were younger and my name was usually William, Junior, Jan? My youngest brother was William, Junior, Marvin, I mean Hershell. My poor mom was always getting in a fix with us. We lived out in the country and we went to town one night and when we got to the store to shop we discovered we had left my 6 year old brother at home on the couch. We went back and got him and we never did tell him he had been left. After that she counted heads when we went anywhere to be sure she hadn't lost one of us. My sister 5 years younger than me went to sleep in the car on the way home from somewhere and we forgot and left her. She woke up and got out and come knocking on the door to get in. Really back then we were not in any danger because the community where we lived everyone was our relatives and we didn't even lock the doors. the only reason my sister had to knock was because she couldn't reach the door knob to get in.

Life before fibro fog existed or as some people call it "dumb blonde". It was the first time for me to vote for President of the USA in VA. Mr Perot was running and I really liked him so I decided to vote. Voting day comes along and I was so sick. I called in sick at work then went out to vote. While I was there I went and bought some groceries that were much needed. Where I lived, you left your cart behind the metal barriers. There was a store employee to watch them for you while you went and got your car. I'm so glad that no one was there to see this because I would have been so embarassed. I went got my car and drove home. Got out of the car and couldn't find my groceries. Had to drive all the way back to the store to get them. One of the guys who puts the groceries in the car just looked at me and said "just how far away did you park your car? Now I was really embarassed.

For Thanksgiving last year I was making pumpkin pies. I went to the store to get the pie shells and other ingredients I needed. I get home got everything all mixed up and couldn't find the pie shells. I asked everyone if they had carried them in and no one had. I looked in the freezer, in the trunk of the car, evrywhere. I found my receipt and I had paid for them but hadn't brought them home. I went back to the store and took my receipt and sure enough I had left them at the checkout. Now I double check and make sure all my stuff is in the cart before I leave the store. One day I even left my purse in the cart in the parking lot. We have some honest people in our town because someone had turned it in to customer service and nothing was missing. I can't believe how absent minded I have become with this disease, at least that is what I am blaming it on.
