It has been 10 weeks since my SSD hearing. Has it ever taken any one else that long to hear back from them? I checked on it 1 week ago and the judge has made his decision it is at the part where it is being written up. Do you think this means I didn't get it?

Sandi,

I would try & stay positive & look at it this way, if the judge has made his decision & it's being written up I would think it would take longer to have all the info on there. e.g. the payments over the years, medicare, reason for receiving it etc... if you were denied they would probably just stamp it & mail it out. Try to keep thinking good thoughts.

Yes i to feel that this sounds good for you. When I got denied it sure didn't take them long to tell me. I got an answer real fast. However, when a friend of mine got her's approved it did take a while to get all the paper work done. hang in there I think you got it.

Sandi, hang in there I also think you got it because it does take a while to figure out all the payments you are entitled to.

HI..... oh yes.... I had to wait 14 weeks... and then it took another 60 days for them to get the check in the mail.......

But it was all worth it.... except...Medicare.... that really stinks.... it is better than nothing...but dang I can not get my normal meds.... they say that they are not part of the normal treatment plan for what is wrong with me..... I did not know there was a real treatment plan for this....

Hang in there.......

Craig..

Thank you everyone for your replies and support. April 5th is my last long term disability check. This means we will be able to pay one more house payment. My husband is a wonderful man and works very hard, we just live in an area where jobs are hare to find. I always was able to make money because I was a nurse. This has been a very hard time for us , but a learning experience to. We have learned the difference b/t what we have to have and what we think we have to have. It has brought my family very close. I also think my kids have learned a few good not to do's when they go out on their own. Well, there is nothing I can do but pray, and since i am so stressed out I can't sleep. I have lots of time to do that.

Sandi; If you ever read your responses from SSI,you will see that their letters always say they have 120 days to respond. And believe me they use it all the way to the 120 days. Sorry. But who knows you could get lucky.
