I just read that it can take up to five years to be diagnosed with Fibromyalgia.

I have been living in this pain for to long already and can't five years for someone to treat me!

I really want to know after first going to your doctor in pain how long did it take for you to get diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and then how long before someone treated your pain?

All responses will be very appriciated!

I went to the doctor August 2006 but wasn't diagnosed until July 2007 I was put on Ibuprohen 800 & Hydrocodn, then lost my insurance and my meds. I go before ALJ on the 25th for my disability. hopeful.

Took me almost 2 years and 3 doctors. Alot of medical test to rule out everything else. Finally I was sent to a rumetoligist by my family physician and was diagnosed. Am on several different meds and the heavier ones for pain I do not tolerate, where once I could. The strongest one my body will tolerate now is tramadol. Try to find a good arthritis doctor or one that specializes in fibro. I wish you luck and try to stay positive>
