MDJunction to me

"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

Would you all please pray...that it will stop raining in Maryland. It has been so cold and rainy here for the last few days that I don't think I can stand it anymore. I have to go out today to the doctors and I don't want to go. Water is running down the streets like a small streams, there is mud everywhere, and i hurt all over.

I forgot to ask my question, I was dx in October. Does fibro pain improve in the hot weather? What months seem to be the best for the fibro patient?

for me it is spring. not to hot but not cold like winter. I think my body would be happy if the temp was about 70 all year round. give or take a few dagrees. In the heat of the summer here they humidity is so high that I cant even stand to go out of the house.

My husband wants to move me to Texas where it was 98 degrees last week where my sister lives. The only thing is the humidity. I have visited there in July and I thought the humidity felt different than the humidity in Maryland which is awful. I just know that these winters are the pits.

Sorry to complain,

I usually do best in later spring, early summer before the days get too hot & humidity gets too high. I love my a/c though, so if it's too hot, I just stay in as long as I can. I do take plenty of walks in the nicer weather though so I can soak in the Vit D.

Sandi, it is monsoon season here in Northeast Ohio too...mudbaths everywhere, dark gray sky, cold, damp air when it's not raining, and barren brown trees. Not a single sign of spring yet! We have a flood warning in effect after the two feet of snow from last week melted, and many people are flooded out of their homes. Luckily I live on high ground, but I have to wade through deep mud puddles just to get to my car in the driveway. It is so depressing, and I've been in a bad flare for the past week. I tend to do best in the spring and early summer or early fall, but the heat and humidity of summer is still better for me than this cold and damp we've had most of the winter here. I'm taking extra vitamin D supplements because there has been little sunshine here this winter.

According to that darn groundhog, Buckeye Phil, in Columbus, our official Ohio groundhog, spring should be here by next week....maybe he meant six more MONTHS of winter, it is beginning to seem like that! My kids have their Easter break next week and likely to be cooped up inside with me all day and nothing to do as it is wet and muddy outside. We have cabin fever big time! Yes, let's all pray that spring arrives soon and better days ahead for all of us who suffer with this weather!
