MDJunction to me

"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

My husband has purchased a jacuzzi for me. It will be delivered this Friday. Has anyone used one of these for muscle pain?

The few times I've had the pleasure have been WONDERFUL! A friend of mine with FM who has the tender points doesn't agree, though. She said about five minutes is all she can take before the tender points start hurting. Back when I had the neuropathy thing going on, I couldn't stand the hot water. Guess it is going to depend on what specific symptoms you have each time.

I'm sure it has been mentioned here already, but I also love the little corn or rice pillows that you heat in your microwave. The moist heat works better than a plain ole heating pad and you don't have to worry about falling asleep with them. I'm using the "rice in a tube sock" variety these days, ha, ha. I keep threatening to buy some deer corn and fix myself one more pleasing to the eye, but sometimes we have to make due with what we've got! Hope your hubby got a big ole kiss for the tub!

Hot tubs are Great for Arthritis and Fibro pain! Like a whole body heating pad. I would try to get one that is chemical free though

But, whatever kind you get....ENJOY!

I have had my hot tub for a week now. I have been in it everday since. It has stopped my legs from hurting so bad. Actually, they no longer hurt at all. It is an expensive fix, but I think it is going to be worth it in the long run. I just wish it could fix the fatigue.

We have a jetted bathtub, it works the same as the hot tub I used to have in my old house. I cannot get in too much of hot water like the hot tub because I am on a blood thinner.

Ok, you have all inspired me! I'm telling my hubby I need a hot tub Not sure where we will put it. We only have a small deck outside. I might have to settle for a jetted bathtub like mamanordy.

Hot water is my best friend, I would love to have a hot tub. I hear that you can get your doctor to write you a prescription for one.... but I have no idea how insurance would reimburse.... I may have to check that out after I move if I have a place to put one
