Haven't been here in a while but was researching a drug I am on for treatment of cataplexy (narcolepsy) and at the bottom of the article people had left reviews, so while I was there I thought I'd see how they did on this drug.

Three different names are used: xyrem, sodium oxybate and GHB and I didn't really see what I was looking for but was amazed to see so many people writing to tell about how successful the drug was with fibromyalgia.

My brain isn't what it once was but when I did come here I couldn't really recall seeing anyone in this group speak of that drug. I also can't recall which site I found all this positive feedback on, but I was looking around for what other names besides xyrem were used concerning this drug. I didn't see anyone who had narcolepsy in the reviews and this drug was approved for that disorder. But man oh man, it got praise after praise for fibromyalgia.

I recall it being written that they slept better and the pain was lessened, so just in case anyone reading this thinks this drug could possibly help ... well, I thought of all of you when reading it and just wanted to pass it along.

It is a very strong drug, addictive, both physically and psychologically but when it finally did come through I had no life at all. I will have this disorder until I die, so who cares if it's addictive? It brought me back among the living.
