Now you have hit a subject I might be able to help you on. Migraines are part of fibromyalgia. Some drs. say yes and some say no. However, I can tell you they are. I had migraine headaches alot since I was told I had fibromyalgia. I was having 3 or 4 per week. I got a new dr. he is a neurologist. He gave me a prescription for topomax. I started taking them in december 2007. Another name for this is Topiramate. I take 100 mg each day. 50 mg. in morning and 50 mg. at nite. The only problem I have had was dry mouth. The great part is that since I started taking this meds I have not had even 1 headache. Really! They are gone. Now I don't know what would happen should I stop taking the meds but, as long as I stay on this I think the headaches are gone for good. They also, give you another med to keep handy should you feel like a headache is coming on and you take it only when you feel one starting. Well, I don't have to use that yet. lolololol I sure hope this helps you. It is new but, I see no reason you dr. would not prescribe it for you. this med is just for migraine headaches only.
