I have been dealing with pain in my knees and the pain goes down my legs and makes my shins hurt as well. When I run my finger up my leg, I feel lots of pain. I also notice that the bones in my shins are very bumpy and I was wondering if anyone else ever noticed this? Is this connected to fibro or is it something completely different? It is freaking me out and I never know when I should call my doctor. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

Personally, I am one that builds the relationship w/ my dr that if I have a question about a symptom that is new, I am going to call. I don't want to make the assumption that something is fibro when it could be something completely different. If it turns out to be fibro, then ok - they can tell me how to cope with the new symptom. Please note, for me it also depends on the severity of the symptom. If it is bad enough, I am more inclined to make the call. Otherwise, I add it to my list to discuss at my next visit.

Whatever you decide, I hope you find the answer that you are looking for. I will be praying for you to find some comfort and relief from your pain.

Here...I'll just follow coolmamma! LOL

YES...I have lumpy shins! OOOOOOOUUUCH and EWWWWWWWWW....not only does it hurt...but it's YUCKY feelin'! Oh...and it makes shaving my legs a complete joy. Joy ohhhh joy~

But as far as it being related to Fibro??...I don't know...I'm pretty good at just chalking things up to Fibro and sometimes I probably shouldn't, so my opinion? You really should have everything 'checked out'...just to be sure!

sweetheartsuze: Did you ever ask your doctor why you have that? I deal with pain in the muscles of my shins every time I am on my feet a lot.
