MDJunction to me

"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

Hi all...

I was hoping that I could be in some of your thoughts today and maybe ya'll could throw a few prayers my way.

I've told few about this, but I now feel like I need more support and of course...this is where I want to get it from...you...MY BEST FRIENDS!

Anyhow, a while back I found a 'lump' in my left breast. I went to a regular doc and had it checked and they referred me to "The Breast Care Clinic" which is where I'm going today for an exam, mammogram and ultra-sound to follow.

I've had 'caffeine' lumps before as well as cysts in the same area. I've also dealt with MANY tumors (all benign) and a lot more cysts elsewhere, which had to be removed.

But, this time...I'M SCARED! It's NOT like the 'others'. This one is different! It feels exactly like a friend of mine that had breast cancer a few years back. My sister-in-law also had breast cancer a couple of years ago and is in remission now...she felt it a few days after I found it and she's the one that made me go to an 'on-call' doctor over the weekend that followed the day I found it.

So, I know this isn't going to be good and was just wondering if I could get your thoughts, prayers or whatever you're willing to take away from your day to throw my way. I could use it! If I have to come home and tell my family I have breast cancer or even MIGHT have a problem...it's going to kill me. I just don't know how I'll take any more....and what about them?

Thanks soo much for reading this...I'm hoping for a pain free day for all of us.

Suzee,

I've already prayed for you today, but I wlll gladly take the time to take this special request before the Lord. I know you are afraid, but please remember you are not alone, you are taking all of us with you today---please let us know how it turns out.

Hi my friend, I went thru a core biopsy a few years ago and went totally numb from fear, its true what they say about your prioraties shift fast into whats important. It will be okay, they have come SOOOO far with treating this and it sounds like your nipping it in the bud early. My prayers are with you and I will wait anxiously to hear what happened. I'll be thinking of you all day. Try to stay as positive as possible, I know how hard that is, actually I hate when someone says that to me! I do feel you'll be okay, its just that GOD keeps testing our strength all the time. This too shall pass, I promise.

love, leslie

Suze, I had breast cancer when I was 24, so I am a 28 year survivor! I also found a lump, a really big one. They sent me for needle biopsy and immediately the surgeon said you need to have surgery. I had a modified radical mastectomy with one yr of chemo and 3 months of radiation. It is a tough road to go down, but I made it and if something bad comes of this for you, so will you! Love ya

Suzee, I am a 'newbie' and read your post and tried to send you a hug/prayer. I just wanted to say that I will pray for you to receive strength to get through these days and added strength for you should your worst fears be realized to get through what you will need to go through. I know from personal experience that your own 'hope' helps. Take the support you are receiving here from those you know and those you don't know and really embrace it. Turn that support into optimism and hope. It really does help.

Best wishes

Willy

Suzee,

I am so sorry to hear about the lump. I have had one removed before, but it soundz like you have been on this road for a while Just remember, when you feel like you can't take anymore that is when Jesus carries us. He is carrying you, and I hope He waltzes you right through this, love.I believe when we go through these "tests" that God is refining us. He simply wants everyone in the situation to lean and learn. I hope that this has given you some peace and understanding if not only a reminder. You are in my prayers and I have faith that you and yours will come through this and that we are here for you through this cumbersome time. I'll keep my fingers crossed and my eyes peeled for your post. love ya lots, Jody

Suzee, I know it is a scary time for you as I went through the same thing about 15 years ago. Thankfully mine was a benign tumor and as the doctor put it, "Everything but the kitchen sink was in there". Many prayers are being sent your way today from all your friends on here and I want you to know that mine have been added also. May God bless you today and always.

Love Maggie

You're always in my thoughts- but will be even more so today. You hang in there, and just remember that all of your friends are pullin' for ya.

You are a very strong person and even "if" there is something more to this lump. You WILL make it through! Like I said- you are a very strong person.

Good luck. And be sure to let us know one way or another how things turn out. We're here for ya!
