MDJunction to me

"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

That's kinda what I thought too. Worth a shot. The bracelets aren't that expensive.

My rheumy says that carpal tunnel is something he sees a LOT with fibro. He said the tissues inside the wrist (tendons, muscles) get inflamed and squeeze the median nerve and it causes pain in the hand. That's not to say that everyone with hand pain has this, but a classic sign is there is no pain in the little finger, according to an article I read. Might be worth getting evaluated for it cause there's all sorts of specific treatments for it.

I've had carpal tunnel for 15 year and I was diagnoised with Fibro 1 1/2 years ago. It depends on the type of job you do in life not diseases. It's caused my repitative movements of the hands or wrists.

I know this cause my husband worked in the medical field. And that's what my doctor told me 15 years ago. It feels as if you have sprained you wrist. And the only cure is surgery and tht don't work all the time or I would have fix it years ago. The best thing is to wear a brace just for carpal tunnel.

You have a thin layer of tissue that holds nerves and tendons in place in your wrists, when that tissue snaps your nerves and tendons get tangled around the tissue. Surgery consists of 6 weeks in a cast but doesn't always take the first time. Done alot of reseach on the issue. Seriously though about surgery then changed my mined. Was tolded earlier this month once again by my family Doctor I have to get it fixed. Drop alot of things and lose my grip in that hand. Then there are days I can't even use my left arm from shoulder down because of pain and inflamation. Sorry to sound like a b**** just trying to help. And on top of Fibro make it worse.

Along with the upper left chest burning pain I have and also toward the armpit I too have left sided hand/finger/wrist pain. It worsens when I type a lot but is always there too. It seems to involve the thumb and first two fingers, not the pinky and my wrist will hurt and it goes up my arm and into shoulder. So could this be carpal tunnel starting then? I sure hope not...I had tarsal tunnel in both ankles which is the same thing basically. I had sugery for both of those. I just feel like I am a physical mess!! Guess you all feel that way too. Really gets you down though always wondering and worrying what is wrong and why and if it is something more serious.

I had carpal tunnel surery a year ago on both hands and have never had a problem except for arthritis and fibro pain since, the surgery was uncomfortable but I couldn.t have lived with the pain from carpal tunnel. When the dr said he can't fix the fibro but could definately could fix the carpal tunnel, I went for it and am very glad for that decision.

I have a thought, if copper bracelets help the pain then could it be that a lack of enough copper in our bodies intensifies the pain? Just a thought.

I've heard that when the copper turns your skin green it's because your body has enough and it's rejecting it. Mine haven't done that yet...so I guess I'm not 'full' yet!! LOL

I also wear loose, dangling copper earrings every other day or so. Or, when I have a headache...I wear them. I don't know if it's IN MY HEAD OR NOT...but hey...it doesn't hurt to give it a try!!!

Like I always say.......WHATEVER WORKS!!!!

As far as lack of it in our bodies...I have no idea hun...I'm not one to 'research' stuff....I just hear it and go for it. If it works...GREAT! If not, I can't say I didn't try! Good thought though....I'm sure someone will know the answer to that!!!
