I really don't know what causes it. maybe a medicine. I have pain in my hands and forearms. Sometimes the knuckles hurt so bad it feels like I have a couple of mangled fingers. In the cold my hands feel all the knuckles and feel broken. I thought it was my nerve damage. But maybe it is part of fibro... Hope you feel better.

Yes,very painful hands. They don't always swell, but they throb lots of times, especially in the rainy, cold, weather. But at the same time they are numb - go figure?

Sorry Tea, I haven't found anything that works yet.

I do hope they get better for you.

Copper Bracelets!

I now wear them day and night!! My hands aren't soo swollen and painful in the mornings now that I wear them at night too! And, I've had to have all of my rings made smaller because they would LITERALLY fall off after I started wearing them!

No magnets, no gimmicks...COPPER ONLY! They're cheap and if you can't find any...I can get you one from where I got mine...pm me if you want more info on them!

Someone told me to dunk my hands in extremely hot water then immediately put them in ice water, this helps temporarily. I have awful pain in my hands, my dr said its probably arthritis on top of the fibro. I have to force myself to sew because I REFUSE to give it up. I can't wear and rings they are so swollen and the worst part is right at my lower thumb above the wrist at the bone kind of in the center of your palm, hard to explain, it sucks.

I'm going to get some copper braclets next weekend, I hope. I'm going to Gatliburg tn. the Native Americans have some beautiful jewelry. I am having more and more trouble typing. I keep hitting certain keys accidently.

I haven't worn my rings in a while. My hubby is the very jealous type and it bothers him. He actually thinks men are gonna be hittin on me if I don't have my rings on. He's sweet. A little nuts, but sweet.

Do the copper bracelets also help with wrist pain?

YES!!! I used to have pain from my shoulders down. Well, actually from head to toe and still do...but the bracelets have helped the pain and swelling in my fingers, hands, wrists, forearms and if I'm not mistaken...my upper arms as well.

It's actually quite unbelievable, really! I just thought I'd give it a try and now...they don't come off except for showering and I find myself looking for more, stylish, wider and thicker ones! Not that I need them, but a change in 'look' wouldn't hurt! After all...they don't match the silver that I wear...but after noticing the difference that they make...I don't care!

Good luck!
