Ok, I've been reading all this. I get severe cramps kind of underneath my rib cage. Doesn't feel like an Ace bandage, feels like a Charley Horse like you get in your leg. It's ugly bad.

I also woke up one night several years ago with chest pain. Heart attacks in the family so I went to the dr. He thought it might be costachondritis. At least I think that's what he said. He didn't speak real good English.

indianajo, that is a good way of expressing it. And it almost reminds me of when you have surgery and they blow your belly up with the gas, the discomfort you feel for days afterwards. Seems like the muscle relaxers have helped since i started them. hope you find relief.

Thanks all. It's been going on for about 15 years now. I generally can stretch the cramp out with a stretching exercise. But if it gets both sides at once I'm in big trouble!

The rib cage thing started for me in December I think & it has gotten so bad lately. They still haven't ruled out MS for me - so who knows.

I told the new doctor about it & he's the one that gave me the LDN. I've only taken it twice so far & believe it or not the pain in my rib cage is so much better. I can actually get out of bed in the morning & move at night without crying out in pain.

Maybe it's just a coincidence, but I'll take what I can get when it happens

In september of last year, I had to call 911..bad pain on the left side of my chest...well i went to the hospital they did xrays and sent me home..the doctor there said it was bronchitis..the radioligist called me the next day and said get back to the hospital because he found a spot on my lung..to find out it was a collasped lung...they put a tube in my chest and sent me home..go figure...hmmmm..so many problems come from FIBRO

I have a post about LDN under the Medicine&Treatments area if you look there. It's Low Dose Naltrexone. Quite a bit of people with MS take it.
