I just got my letter turning DOWN my appeal for SSD.

They should send someone to live with me for a week or so then they could see, it all I can do to try to continue existing.... on a minute to minute basis.

I have no life....... can't even barley make breakfast, can't shop, can't socialize, heck I can't even go to a movie and sit all the way through it.

I am in constant torture living in my body filled head to toe with unrelenting pain and it has been getting worse over the last 2 years, the Doctors have tried everything over the last 20 years from Ten's units to Fentenal patches, lately I have found the natural things seem to work best,(I am still on about 10 meds a day) but still I find that I wonder why I keep living......... just to be living like his.

I guess I amto much of a coward and can't manage to free myself from this body..... but I sure wish I could

The Social Security letter may be the last straw, I do not think I can muster up the fight to appeal again

How the heck can they turn me down, I have the following

SLE LUPUS/Mixed connective tissue disease/Fibromyalgia

Kidney problems

HYRADENITIS

Laryngeal spasms

Sleep Apnea

Neurological problems

Cushing Syndrome

& Depression

Sorry for the rant, my tears and saddness I just needed to get out and be said

Bella, dont give up. That is what they want you to do. Do you have a lawyer? If not, now is the time to get one. I understand, I am awaiting my appeal letter. I finally got representation, I just couldnt keep going on my own. I am using Allsup. They have a 97 percent winning rate. www.allsup.com

Oh Bells dear I am so sorry they do that. I was told that they turn everyon down right off the bat and you have to get an attorney to refile for you. PM me and I can give you the name and number of an attorney firm. My disability counselor at school gave me their name and I intend to use them when I get my letter. Hang in there honey, you deserve to have this and you can get it.
May life always bring you laughter.

Bella,

I'm so sorry for what you have been going through.

Please don't give up - they want you to do that, with a good attorney you can win & you need an ALJ hearing.

Please get that lawyer & have them file the appeal for you right away. I went with a firm that does allot of workers comp. someone also referred me, really I asked the person because they had won 2 cases for him. I didn't have to pay anything up front. They reviewed my paperwork & took my case based on medical info I provided them.

Please make a call on Monday?

Bella,

My name is Trisha, don't feel bad honey. I have been turned down twice for my disability. And I'm going before Administrative Law Judge later this month. I had a Lawyer and out of no where he drop me. How rude can you be. And without any explanations. I have Fibro, Buerger's Disease, COPD, Depression, Oats Disease. But I don't have any insurance so medical care is out of the question. But try to stay positive.

Thank you LibraJo, It is just so hard not to be belived, it's like they are calling me a liar.

What is the ALJ hearing?

I spoke to a attorney on the phone before I filed the appeal she said that I should do my appeal on my own and I would probably get it because I had so many things wrong with me.

and if I was turned down court takes like 2 years

I asked what happens to people that can't work and have to wait that long how do they survive...... she laughed and said if she had a answer to that she would be rich.

I thought that was honest but kind of cruel to say, because if I did not just get married to a wonderful man, who has to work extra jobs to support us since I can not work at all, if I were still alone like I was for years, trying to care for my three daughters.

what in the world would become of me, I would be homeless

Thank the dear Lord my husband...........He saved me forsure in so many ways

I will try Different attorney some have said Allsup firm is a good one, I guess they are nationwide have you heard of them? I am going to look them up and call Monday But for right now I am just full of tears and fears

Oh Trisha, I am sorry for you hun, at least I get medical we have a program here in Minnesota called Mincare and it is sliding scale fee type medical coverage so mine is only $5 a month it covers most doctor vists and meds with a only $3 co-pay and gives me $10,000 coverage per yr in hospital which I far exceeded last year but hospital had a program to help too thankfully

Before I found this Mincare I had no insurance because blue cross was over $600 month just for me and would not cover any of my pre-existing medical conditions.

This country really needs to provide medical service to everyone, like they do for fire and police services

It would suck not to be able to call the fire dept cause you could not afford them to come when your house is burning.

You need to be able to see a doctor when sick, what the heck is wrong in this country these days?

I hope you get help soon, I will keep you in my prayers

Bella

[Bella, I am so sorry about being denied. But don't give up hope. Don't you even dare!!! If I understand from what I read above - this was your first denial. That's what they usually do. It's not right and its now fair but I 've been told before by a friend in the SSD office in Texas is that 9 out of every 10 requests that come through their doors are automatically denied. They are forcing you to see how far and for how long they can push you beforfe you will give up and leave. Then they no longer have to work with your case and can get on with the persons that are still trying to get rid off. /but you just keep brave and strong and let them know that you are there to stay, - "sir"

Bella,

Sorry to leave you hanging there, I had to get ready for Mass. I really like to go on Saturday night instead of Sunday morning. Then I came home & rested.

I tried to pray real hard for everybody, we had a little bit of a disruption, when Father was reading the Gospel this roar came through like a train & all the electric went out - didn't last long.

Ok, back on track here. ALJ is administrative law judge, fortunately I think I only waited 15 or 18 months after my first denial. So I guess the whole process was a painstaking 2yrs. I am so blessed to have such a great family! My parents & my in-laws picked up the tab for my son's Catholic high school.

My father gave us his old car, that had to be put to rest in June though.

My in-laws own a shore home and me & the kids were able to spend the summers there, my husband would come on weekends. It was like an all inclusive vacation, they fed us - everything.

By the way I do have depression, but when I won my case the judge based it on Fibromyalgia, then depression.

Sometimes you also have to jump on your lawyer's butt.

I called a couple of times, second time I was like listen. I'm not down the shore anymore & I'm paying all the food, prescriptions, & gas money on my credit card & I need that hearing like now! She called me back the next day & I was scheduled in a month.

Besides all your medical info there is a form the lawyers use called, Residual Function Capacity Form.

I would highly recommend your doctors fill this out.

It was like two weeks before my hearing & the one doctor had not completed it.

I had them mail me a copy & had my daughter drive it to the doctor's office & hand it to the girl who needed to get it to the doctor. I also sent along a nice gift with it. I'm telling you, you need to kill some people with kindness to get somewhere sometimes.

the doctor completed it that day & it was faxed to my lawyer, I have no idea what it said but it worked.

I don't want you to think I was buying my doctor's office off, but they do have to do some crappy work for little pay & I like to bring them things sometimes for all their hard work. We have a very nice candy shop near my home & they always make nice arrangements.

You can PM me anytime with questions & I'll help as best I can.
