I have a normally low blood pressure also. I have an at home bp monitor. It might be worth tracking to see if there is a connection. Low bp can make you feel tired and fatigued.

I have "episodes" of low bp. Mine is normally on the low end of normal but still normal. However, I've been having periods where mine will drop down slowly to 70/50. That's an infants bp. It will then slowly go back up. I'm extremely dizzy and tired when it goes to dropping. If you are not symptomatic, ie dizziness etc, then it won't be treated. Are you dehydrated? That can cause a drop. I would think, though I'm no doctor, that the pain level increase would actually increase the bp.

No, I am not dehydrated. I am very tired though. I also have dysautonomia - inbalance in my nervous system which has been known to make my blood pressure fluctuate and my heart race so perhaps the fibro. is making that unbalanced. I just feel like I want to sleep and I have so much to do. I have to work all day at my daughter's school tomorrow for a "fun day" and I hope I have energy to do it. Please wish me luck. My pain level has decreased as the day went on. Yes, you would think the pain would increase the bp. My body is really goofy - I could tell you that.

Fibromite, having a low BP will definately make you tired and feel out of it. My SIL just had a heart attack 2 weeks ago and and at one point, her BP was down to 75/31. The first thing they did was give her fluids. So it could be dehydration like the other ladies have mentioned. What did your doc say about it being low?

Hatbox, you BP goes down to 70/50? That is not good. Do you monitor it and keep a daily log of it at home? I would. See if you can find a trend. A BP of 70/50 is awfully low. Do they know what is causing it? u should monitor as well Fibromite.

I'm an Advocate

Low BP is definitely as dangerous as high BP. I don't think enough people realize that.

Low BP can cause more symptoms than high BP, though. Although they may not be symptoms that people would recognize for what it is. They're very apt to put if off on something else.

My doctor told me that sometimes people with blood pressure problems wither high or low most take two different kind of medication. And therefore, wrote me out another blood pressure pill on top of the beta blocker I was already taking. Needless to say, after several trips to the ER, when it dropped so low they thought I was having a heart attack. I decided that my doctor did not know what he was talking about, and stop taking blood pressure meds all together , before they killed me.

I can tell when it is dropping, and start pushing liquids and potassium. I am using a treadmill , but I can’t walk more than 15 min or my blood pressure will drop. It is a common problem when a person as FB, but many doctors do tell you that.

I have a monitor at home becuz of a heart med that I take. My blood pressure always used to be on the low side and at times after surgeries, it became very dangerous. Out of nowhere it became normal and stayed that way for a few years. When my heart problems started it became slightly elevated, not enough for medication. However the heart med I'm on lowers B/P so I have to watch it. I had been feeling fine and not noticing any symptoms but when I went to the doctor the other day it was way too low, 90/60 and the doc asked me if I was dizzy or anything like that. As I mentioned I felt fine in that dept. but he made me stay there for a bit and called my heart doctor. Still monitoring after a med adjustment but seems fine now. My hubby passed out recently due to low b/p. He had been feeling fine, just got up from the chair and down he went. He ended up in the hospital for two days. Everyone just be careful and monitor if you can. Sorry for the rambling Smile
